Either than the status prizes (Gold, Elite) What did you order? I have 470 coins right now, but nothing seems appealling, I'll just wait for the new set of rewards.

Once I got to 800 coins I bought the Hanafuda card deck and it's really fun to play. I also ordered the Mario hat since I made it to Elite status.
They said that your points go away if you don't use them so I just bought a Wii remote case that I really don't need or even want.
I didn't think anything looked good, a few games that I had, I just kept on my desk, because my game holder was filled.
So I decided to get the game rack, and I love it. :) I would have payed like $5-10 for it.
Now, I have my 4 games, my Gameboy SP, and my two DS Lites in it.
Edit: Also, I get my Mario hat November 1st (Or that's when it gets shipped).

Why are my Coins listed with an expiration date?
Unredeemed Coins will expire two (2) full Club Nintendo years (July 1 - June 30), plus whatever is left in the current Club Nintendo year, after they are earned. Example: Coins earned in March 2009 would not expire until June 30, 2011.
As for me, I haven't ordered anything yet other then the Mario Hat. I've been waiting for them to update the rewards, because there's really nothing that interests me too much right now. But I'll have to spend some of my coins bynext year because in 2008 I accumulated 820 coins, so I have until June 30, 2010 to spend those 820 coins. So because of that, I'll probly get either the Mario Party or Animal Crossing Playing Cards and the Wii Remote Holder. That way I'll spend 800 coins and only loose 20. I may even get the Hanafuda cards, but if I get the other rewards I can get two things instead of one, so I think it's better to get more for my coins if I can.
They really should update the rewards though. I mean there's too many DS items and not enough Wii items, 8-1 is a little ridiculous. Compared to Europe's Club Nintendo Catalog, ours is a joke to be honest. They get 6 pages with wonderful things to spend their stars on http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/club_nintendo/stars_catalogue_5823.html, hardly fair if you ask me.
Yeah, it's good just save your points and wait for better rewards if there's nothing you like. The rewards are an excellent way for Nintendo to get more people to officially express their opinions about the games they buy, and if Punch Out!! is any hint, maybe we can expect more better rewards in the future.
If the surveys truly do make an impact on how Nintendo decides to develop future games, then Club Nintendo is a great way to communicate with them. Just make sure you communicate strongly the things you like/dislike about the games you survey.
Oh yeah, I got the Game and Watch Collection and Doc Louis Punch Out!!. I figured since Mario hats can be found anywhere online or made from scratch (like how people buy/create Mario costumes for Halloween, gaming conventions, etc.), I chose the Doc Louis Punch Out game. It would be nice if we didn't have to choose between the 2.

He had no reason to spend them now because we're nowhere near the expiration of them
Also Europe gets more because they get less when it comes to games so Nintendo tries to soften the blow by offering a few more things
Wow, Europe's Club Nintendo catalogue is waaaay better than NA's, I wish I could get SMG's soundtrack and I need a new DS, :( lucky Europeans.
I always trade them in for Wii Points.

Wait, how do you get into Club Nintendo and how do you get coins? I want to get some Wii points
Also, I'm signing up for it right now. You know how they ask for your mailing address? Does Nintendo send you mail often or do they just use your address to send you Club Nintendo rewards?
This. Personally I have thought about ordering a second deck of hanafuda cards, to have one to collect and one to play with.Once I got to 800 coins I bought the Hanafuda card deck and it's really fun to play. I also ordered the Mario hat since I made it to Elite status.

Once I get a new router I can link my Wii to my Club Nintendo account and my VC stuff should put me over 600pts.. then I'm either going to get the NES Mario DS game card case, or wait until new stuff comes out:-/
EDIT: Also, jeebus the euro rewards are awesome! Every one of them owns the NA rewards :( I'd personally get the Wii Fit bowl or the Super Mario Soundtrack:P But what the heck is up with the price? 3000, 5000, 10000+ points? I would have to buy several more Wii's just to get that many points..
I got the Game and Watch Collection, along with Doc Louis Punch-Out!!.
Europe has some nice things in their catalogue (that Zelda statue :o), but tons of junk as well.

Yeah I have no clue why he would waste his points like that, now it will just take him longer and cost him more money if he ever wants something neat they might add to the list in the future.I just opened my copies of Madworld and No More Heroes and there's no Club Nintendo code to redeem stars in any of them. Both games were factory sealed so there's no chance someone has taken them out. Should these games have come with codes.x-2tha-zOnly Nintendo published games should have the codes

Yeah I have no clue why he would waste his points like that, now it will just take him longer and cost him more money if he ever wants something neat they might add to the list in the future.Sorry I'm just kinda confused. Are you guys saying that I wasted my coins or are you talking about someone else? The reason why I accumulated 820 coins in 2008 was because I wanted to make sure I had enough to order anything I wanted, plus make sure I had Gold Status for 2009. So because I registered enough games to have that many coins it means I wasted them? How is that any different than someone spending 800 coins on the Game and Watch Collection? Whether I spend them in 2008 or wait 2 years to spend them doesn't really make much of a difference does it? For all we know, they may never update the rewards with anything better.
Not to mention that if you register your games, you also get to take Post Play surverys, and you get 10 coins for each of those. So if you guys are worried about having to waste money buying more games to get more codes for coins, you don't really have to spend as much as you think. You can save all your post play surveys, some don't expire for 3-4 years. Do enough of them and you can get quite a few extra coins. I've already got 100 coins towards my next Gold Status for 2010 just from doing post play surveys. And if you run out of Wii games to buy, there's also DS games. Even though you only get 30 coins for DS games you can still accumlate coins. There's a lot of first party Nintendo games for the DS.
When I said I've been waiting for them to update the rewards, that's just me hoping that they will. There's no guarantee it's going to happen. Those could be the only rewards we ever get in North America. So it really doesn't matter if you save all your codes and register your games at a later time, eventually we'll all end up spending our coins right? And if they never update the rewards in North America, does that mean you guys will never register any of your games. You'd just be wasting your coins then because you'd never spend them. In my opnion it's better to register your games while you can, and get the coins and save them for 2 years. At least that way you'll get something out of it even if it's not exactly what you wanted.
Yes they do. Unused points do expire after a certain time. I had over 200 that were going to expire on the last reward status year, so I ordered something to make sure that they didn't go to waste completely. No they don't
They don't say that anywhere

Didn't realize the coins expire that is dumb. Does anyone know if they automatically use your oldest coins when you order something?
i've got all three poster sets now and next i want the fans

They're supposed to use your oldest coins when you make an order. Having made one order...I think they do, but then again, I used up almost all of my coins with that one order so I can't say for sure.Yeah. I got the folders with Mario & Yoshi, Toad and Peach on the three of them. I like them. Nothing else really seemed fitting. And you're right. They need better prizes! :)
