Are these WiiWare games released yet? I have yet to see one so far...Meleeboy
Not yet, no. The first Wiiware games are set for release sometime in March (at least for Japan).
I hate to confuse an issue that has just been explained to someone's satisfaction, but...
I'm under the impression that WWF No Mercy (an N64 game) is going to be released as Wii Ware. The "new" part is in the updated roster, so I guess it kind of counts as something new.

Yes, see in the No Mercy case they can't release the game as is, they need to change some of the stuff due to rights.
Now if they're going to do that you might as well alter a few sprites and rerelease it on Wiiware.
I doubt many devs will do this because most of their games don't need to be altered.
are the wiiware games actually going to use the motion sensing stuff, or is it just like VC?lilj0e777
Wiiware games will be able to exploit the Wii controls, along with other features (such as WiFi), if the developer desires.
yeah, if a game gets changed it'll be in wiiware cause originally they said they wouldn't be making changes to the virtual console games.
why they would even bother with something like that wwf game i have no idea. seems like a complete waste of time to even put it on the virtual console, but new characters as well? whatever.
i'm pretty sure they're supposed to be making a new Dr. Mario and it'll be on wiiware. i think it'll be playable online. so hopefully they'll just start making some of the older games with online vs modes.

That is an interesting question. I wonder who would have the rights in that situation? I have a feeling that MS would try to get in the way somehow and stop it from happening if it were possible.
Wii Ware games are new games or remkes of old ones. VC games are only old games.Thiago26792
Yeah, if you read the very next post, you would've seen that he got his answer already.
Strange, because I remember you saying something along the lines of "I know I was one of those that didn't follow instructions. Sorry, I will try to read people's post entirely from now on." just 8 days ago. What happened? Gave up already?
