I think I actually liked Donkey Kong Country more. Both are awesome games. You need both.

I plan to get both in time, but just want one now. I'm thinking Donkey Kong Country. I was going to get Ecco the Doplhin, Gunstar Heroes and Street Fighter too.

You can't go wrong with DK Country. Get it if that's the game you're most interested in. It's awesome.

I'll go check which ones use the Wii remote, as I don't have the VC classic remote control thing...

Super mario worldowns the crap out of donkey kong but their both good. Im probably just still mad at rare for going to the dark side of games (Micros**t) All anger aside, SMM is far longer and more varied and fun.

Also, i think all snes games need the VC controller, but you can use a gamecube controller as well.

You can't play any SNES game with the wiimote. It has too few buttons. You'll need a classic controller, or a GameCube controller.

yeah i have no classic controller either so i stay away from SNES games for now, however i do download N64 games because they work great with the gamecube controller. here are some great games that i have downloaded that only use the wiimote: Kirby NES, Gunstar Heroes GEN, KId Icarus NES, and ristar GEN. u cant go wrong with any of these games.if u do have a gamecube controller tho, get starfox 64, great buy

P.S. gamecube controller sucks with SNES, NES, or GEN because of lack of support for analog stick. you have to use the dumb dpad at teh bottom of teh controller

Super Mario World is a lot longer, and has a lot more to do.  But Donkey Kong Country is a good game as well.  You can't play them with the Wiimote, but you can use a GameCube controller as previous posters have noted.  You said you were thinking of getting Street Fighter.  That game is absolutely horrific using the GameCube controller.  I would recommend waiting on that until you get your hands on a *klassic* controller.  As for Donkey Kong Countery, and Super Mario World, I have not played them with a GameCube controller, but I'm sure it has to be at least somewhat better than with Street Fighter (it literaly can't get any worse)...

**I always forget that Gamespot won't let you use the "c word"

Donkey Kong Country was a bit gimmicky in the graphics department.  It's not a bad game, but in terms of variation in gameplay and interesting things to do, it doesn't hold a candle to Super Mario World.

I say this 20 times a day.

RARE did not SELL themselves to MICROSOFT. NINTENDO did.

Get DKC first then, but get Mario before Ecco and SF, SF will release a newer version anyways.

Ahh, thanks for the website :)

I've got a GameCube controller, so that shouldn't be a problem with the SNES VC games, although using that controller means I'll have wires in the way again... ha ha... I need to get an extention cable, as on it's own the GameCube controller's cable is too short for where my Wii is (up above my TV)...
Still not got any VC games. I'm thining Super Mario World or Gunstar Heroes now...

As I don't have a classic controller, what about Super Mario Bros (NES)... is that worth getting for my first 2D Mario experience...?
