can you elaborate on what you mean? Donkey Kong Country doesn't hold up as well as Mario does. That was cutting edge back in the day but it aged horrible hence the posts all over the place here when it was released asking what was wrong with the emulator.

Personally, I think DKC and SMW are two of the top games on the VC right now. They are the only two games I've bought so far, as I consider them "must-buys".
DKC is ok (I don't remember it being that short when I played it years ago), sort of short for me. But SMW is the one you want to go with. The game is long, fun, and tons of stuff to do on there. I say get both, but if you can only get one then go with SMW.

SMW out of those 2. I think even the first Sonic The Hedgehog was better though, even though SMW is amazing. I'm a huge classic Sonic fan though, and Sonic is just so much better than Mario in the fact that it gives you an adrenaline rush when you play it. And I love that feeling in video games (that's why I like arcade racers, intense shooters, and heavy action games better than anything turn based or relatively slow). Sonic>SMW>DKC
Super Mario World is better but both are great and worth getting.
And anyone who buys Sonic is an idiot. You can buy Sonic Mega Collection out of the bargain bin and get every 2D Sonic game ever released plus Ristar and Flicky as well as many extras.
