Do 3ds games work on the 3dsxl

I am going to get a 3ds xl and I don't know much about DS anymore, I played the DS lite when I was younger but I have a question. do the games for 3ds work on the 3ds xl like are the games for both consoles or do they have separate games for each console??

both 3ds and the old DS games work on the xl :)

the xl is just a larger, bigger 3ds so obviously it will work

If you're on the fence, I'd recommend the 3DSxl. My bf has the original and I have the XL and there's a fairly big difference in the screen size. I have small hands and I don't have trouble holding it or anything. It plays both DS and 3DS games.

The 3D effect on the XL is arguably worse. Or to put a finer point on it, it's got a much smaller sweet spot than the old 3ds.

Still, its hard not to love that larger screen.

It's just a bigger 3DS, no other difference.

You waited this long. I'd wait till the new 3ds xl is out if I were you.

You can play DS games in the 3DS too, you can get a R4 card, download the ROM files from the net to your PC and transfer them to the micro SD card of the R4 and play all those DS games that are probably no longer available in physical form.
