ur in the UK?

how to skip TV license, buy a PC monitor with HDMI and 3.5mm audio out (add a set of PC speakers to the monitor's 3.5mm plug for sound). about the tablet controller, i reckon a lot of games may loose some gameplay abilities by playing onjly on the controller.

I never heard of that aswell it must be a U.K. thing? Because I know we don't need one in the United States.

In the UK, you need a TV licence to watch any TV program when it is being broadcasted by any signal method (terrestrial, satellite, cable or the Internet). You don't need one if you use a TV to only watch DVDs, play video games or if you watch TV programs on your computer after they have been shown on TV. Because it is a tax if you don't pay it you will face criminal charges.

So to the TC, you can still play a Wii U on a TV without having a TV licence (it may be diferent if you don't live in the UK though).

wow thats weird. Never heard of such a thing. They tax you to watch free OTA programing? I mean I know cable and satellite get taxed and fees here on my bill but OTA is free. I remember when we finally get digital a couple years ago people freaked out about buying a 50 dollar receiver and they government would send you a free coupon for it even.
