No, they never age. I don't think Nintendo wanted the dogs to age at all for two reasons: 1. Becoming mature dogs make cause them to lose some of their charm with kids 2. Having them age can imply that they could/should eventually die, and I read Nintendo certainly didn't want that because of the effect it could have on kids.
