Does mario kart ds still have a large amount of players? Or do you need friend codes to play online?

I still play it online, and (mainly at night) it takes about 15 seconds (literally) to find three other players to race with. :D It's really nice that it's still so active.

There are still a number of people online and joining 3 other players should not be difficult. Just keep your eye out for hackers and noobs who d/c which could prove irritating.

How old is mario kart?

Since Mario Kart DS was first released in North America on November 14, 2005, as of today, July 28, 2010, Mario Kart DS is 1718 days old. So he's missing two days :P

Oh yeah deffinetly. In the evenings, after my homework i would pick it up and play online for about 30 minutes every night. that was around spring time.

The only problem is the hackers. They ruin it.

Hey! You should look for a cheap wireless router (I got a cheap one for only $20) and then you can plug that into the uplink port on your current router. Then set the encryption for that router to WEP. That way you can keep all your computers encrypted with the better WPA security and then use the other router with WEP for your DS.
