Unfortunately, they do not. You'll need to get a GameCube controller.

Dang, it seems possible though, if the buttons were mapped out correctly.

Yeah, but the problem is in the way the Wii handles GCN games. It doesn't have the power to emulate the GCN, so instead the Wii hardware "becomes" one. However, since the GCN didn't have Bluetooth, the games don't know how to communicate with the classic controller.
