Do they work good? How long does it take? Is it worth the money?

You're better off with a set of 2500 AA's and a charger.

Not only do rechargeable batteries last longer per charge but they last longer over the life of the unit.

I say no, your better off buying the LESS expensive energizer rechargeables than some third party station. Energizer is a respected brand of battery not any third party stuff. The manual says "The only brand of rechargeable batteries we reccommend are Nickel Metal Hydride batteries." THey didn't say "Go buy third party chatging stations." It's clearly a better choice NOT to buy any third-party charging station. If Nintendo thought the Wii should have a charging station they would have made one themselves.

No, because even then when the battery dies for good you're out the high cost of the replacement battery PLUS in some cases you're going to have to send the controller in.

Nintendo did all the Wii owners a favor by not using a speciality battery that lays the cost on the consumer when it goes belly up.

Replacement rechargeable AA's are 6 or 7 dollars and will last for 1000 charges

More people should be thanking Nintendo for their choice of battery for the Wiimote.

The charging station I have works well for one controller.  It came with two charge packs.  This way, one pack is always charging while the other one is in use.  Each pack has about a 3.5 hour battery life (weak, I know), but takes about an hour (if that) to charge.  Switching the packs is about as simple as it can get, and takes about 10 seconds, but I mean, for two controllers, the max playing time if you're using both is about 3.5 hours.   Most of the time, I'm playing by myself, so it's perfectly fine, and when I have friends over, we don't usually play for more than 3.5 hours.  It's basically all about what you want anyways.  Hope the input helps.

I say no... my friend has one and its pretty inconvenient when compared to regular rechargables. For instance, if you happen to go to your friends house with your wiimote and you need to sync the wii and the wiimote... you cant, because in order to do that you have to take off the battery pack meaning there is no power to supply the wiimote... best advice you'll hear concerning this topic.... Get the regular Energizer or Duracell Rechargable packs, theyll work with the wiimote AND other devices ;)
