By the people that determines if games deserve game of the year rate it 98 outta 100 and it has beaten Super Mario Galaxy which is 97 outta 100. I can't wait to get this game on Wiiware and I also can't believe two people created World of Goo.

It's not gamerankings, and if you aren't talking about them then I don't know who your talking about.
Anyways, Galaxy will have a higher overall rating. Galaxy got a bunch of reviews, while World of Goo will be lucky to get 15, and most of those 15 are from the lesser known sites(and IGN).
People who haven't experienced it should download the demo. Playing it there confirmed my future purchase, but I don't think I'll be buying it for the Wii, I have a feeling I'll like it better playing it on my laptop. :DZumaJones07
Thank you, i have been asking people where they found the demo for a while now.
I'll try the demo and see if i want the game.
Also Nintendo should have demo's for wii-ware games. If there was no world of goo demo, i might have never considered buying it.

That's too bad, would've tried it out too.
'best' is too opinionated. A title everyone should at least look at and see if they like it = fact. Once in a while a new game comes out that is worth making sure you play it... World of Goo is one of those games.raahsnavj
I'll say it again. He's talking abot the Metacritic score. It got 97 out of 100. I linked it up above, so I'm not relinking it.
BUT, it actually went down to 96 today, so now it's the 2nd highest reviewed game on Metacritic.

The only reason it's scored so high is because it's being reviewed by console game editors who haven't been exposed to the rich Indie PC gaming scene from which World of Goo comes. If they had played the games that WoG pays homage to, like Bridge Builder and Pontifex, I think there would be less hyperbole, since they would see it as just a variant on an old concept.
I have yet to play World of Goo, and it might be a while before I do (stupid Fallout and LBP...) but I'd like to ask any of you unbiased Wii60 owners if you would call this the Wii's Braid. And if so, do you prefer one of the two over the other?
Comparing this to other games like Braid will help me get a better idea of this game's quality relative to other downloadables. How is this game selling, anyway?
2nd best game on wii ware, we have tetris now.
tetris = best game ever.
this iteration plays fantastic.
^^^ i seriously doubt i will be playing world of goo (i am playing it now) in 23 years.
I have been playing tetris for 23 years, and it is still fun.
that is replayability!
Yeah, but when Galaxy had as many reviews as World of Goo it was still at 100 out of 100. I am sure that I will love world of goo, but thiers no way that I will like it more than Galaxy.By the people that determines if games deserve game of the year rate it 98 outta 100 and it has beaten Super Mario Galaxy which is 97 outta 100.
Once you've made the tower and reached the pipe, detach the lower goos and put them on the structure to make them slide to the pipe. The pipe's aspiration will be enough to keep up the tower.
