After reading this rumor, I just thought I'd ask. For me, I don't want it. As much as I think Double Fine is a great developer (they used to be Lucasarts) and as much as I don't mind ports/remakes, I just don't think BL on Wii is a good idea. I don't think Double Fine are much of Nintendo fans either.

Doesn't matter to me. I'm getting it on 360 when it comes out. If puting it out on the Wii means more people will pick it up then I'm all for it.

I'm thinking about but if they screw it up for the Wii, I'm getting it on my PS3.

I don't even know what the game is, honestly. But if they could build it from the ground up for the Wii (its own version), then I'm all for it. I'd rather not try to get a horribly done port that strips the game of everything which would make it good on the other consoles.

Not saying it should be an entirely different game, but design the Wii version with the Wii in mind. You know, kinda like how Sonic Unleashed had different level designs while still keeping the themes of the levels. That sort of thing.

Why? It should stay on the platform it was designed for. This is exactly why the Dead Rising port ended up so awful.

If it's actually built for the Wii rather than a second-rate port, sure. I can't imagine why people wouldn't want stuff from Tim Schafer on the Wii as long as it's good.

They will obviously dumb it down as with every other next gen port/conversion on Wii:roll:, so no, I don't think it's a good idea.

I want Brutal Legend to come to PC.

I know the Wii Version would be crap and the 360/PS3 versions look awsome.

Just isn't coming out for PC, may I ask why?

In that case it might be better, but still I hardly think its worth any serious attention unless your a fan and it still won't be out for what? a year, by then there will be more worthwhile games out.

Simple I have played Brutal Legends before, not the greatest game just because they make it for another console doesn't mean it will be better either.

Right now I know what I am talking about. Yeh its a humerous game and really its one of those games that need physics that Wii can't handle, could be good but not a must have game on Wii it will be better on PS3 or X360. Its like Star Wars Force unleashed the game should not have been put on Wii, the games good on more powerful consoles because they can handle the physics which is part of what makes the game great. But on Wii the physics were highly limited so the game weren't as good.

As long as it ends up being a good port then why not? I like how developers are treating the Wii well now and it's getting more games. I just hope the game is actually good.

If it comes to the Wii, and does not suck, then I will buy it.

I'm already getting two copies, one for me and one for my sister. One of us will play it on the 360 and the other will play it on the PS3, we'll then see who can beat it first. With as poorly as Psychonauts sold, I'm going to support this game as much as I can.

I bet the people saying no didn't play Psyconauts  I LOVED that game!

As long it's built up for Wii, or a side story like Dead Space Extraction and not a port, I'll buy it...

If it was a port I'd rent it....

Its a little more complicated than that. I wouldn't go as far as to say they WERE Lucasarts, but a large chunk of Double Fine's staff came from Tim Schafer's core group there. Old school LucasArts Adventure game team broke into three new teams. Tim Schafer's Double Fine, Ron Gilbert's HotHead Games (making Penny Arcade Adventures), and Steve Purcell, Dave Grossman, and Kevin Brunner (and many others) formed Telltale Games. Its kind of a small thing, but Schafer wasn't the only talented person to split from LucasArts.

lol we'd get Brutal Legends an on rails rocker. where the hero moves on rails and you aim with the remote and strum the guitar with the nunchuk to let out a series of notes to destroy your enemies :P

I'm not really sure I can be happy about that rumor. While getting the game out to as many people as possible is awesome to (hopefully) get big sales for Schafer, I'm still very concerned about what they're gonna try to pull here

One scenario is the port, which could be awesome, I suppose, but we all know how Wii ports from the HD systems usually end up. EA does seem to have noticed the trend too though (making Dead Space Extraction instead of Dead Space: the port), but still, if it's being handled by another studio, that makes me concerned that it won't have the same feel as the one from Double Fine.
