I find that the Wii Remote looks cooler with the Jacket off, but I find that the Jacket is obviously safer in case you hit something with in and it also adds a much better grip to the controller.
Any opinions?

The Wii Wiimote jackets are hideous abominations that not only take away from the looks of the Wiimote but make it a big squishy mess to use.
Nintendo should thank whatever God they pray to that these things free because if they charged me for them not only would I want my money back but I'd also sue them for physical and mental duress for having to use these monstrosities.
In short, I hate them.
I leave it on just because I want to prolong the life of my wii motes as long as possible. I think they look better with the jacket on. but i think it is annoying to have them on because i have to put in new batteries a lot.Jdog30Yeah. Batteries are a big issue. Guitar Hero/Rock Band instruments, however, are an even bigger issue. The jacket is just pointless; it's there to get in the way.
On, I like to play it safe ;)-OathBetter safe then sorry. ;) I on the other hand hate them. The are uncomfortable.
I used the jacket so my remote won't be broken so easily.:D
Also if anyone doesn't use the jacket, use the wrist strap, or else you will waste your money.
Off. It just feels better when I'm not using rubber. ;)Zweihand
lol that literally made me think wrong.:P
Yeah I don't use the jackets. Although though they get dirty quite fast..:(
I prefer off, as I just don't like the feeling of gripping the jacket.TheSmitto
This is how I feel about them too.
Ok - I'm the topic poster.
I have decided that I prefer to have the jacket off because it looks better off, there really is no need for grip (it's not like the controller ever slips out of my hand when using it without the jacket), it is more comfortable off when using the remote for original NES games (i.e. when using the remote sideways) and because for where I play my Wii there is nothing around me that I might accidentily hit so I don't need the jacket for protection (and I always use the wrist strap so there is no risk of the controller flying out of my hand and hitting something).
The grip is confortable though but for the above reasons, I am now not using the jackets.
