Anyways lately I have been beating games constantly since I am taking a couple weeks before I start my next job. So I decided to finally work on all these games I purchased but never completed. I cleared out most of my xbox titles untill I came to the next game in the stack. Metriod Prime 2 and I have been having lots of fun with it and I am 1/4 done in about 2 1/2 hours and I started thinking. I wonder how many people still use the orignal gamecube for their games instead of a wii.

Since I prefer the cube more for multiple reasons.

-I have only owned the machine for about 10 months and I should try to prolong the disc drive of my wii and use the cube instead.

-controller cords can't reach from my wii to where I am sitting and the cube is more convient to move instead of wrestling with my tower of game consoles I hooked up.

-The opening for gamecube games are cooler then on a wii.

-The machine stays alot cooler then a wii when being played and alot queiter most of the time.

-And well its a gamecube its meant to be played not collect dust or be traded in for a newer slimmer version like what everyone did with the PS2 slim.

I disassembled my gamecube after I got my Wii (For fun). I like playing GC games on the Wii because I can run them in partial 480p this way.

I use the Wii, the only complain I have is that the Wii doesn't have a gameboy player. My sisters has a lot of good GBA games that I want to play

Well, I won my Gamecube online a year ago, and then bought a Wii a few months later. Even though my Gamecube is still sort of brand new, I don't even use it anymore.

Yea I ended up buying my gamecube mid agust last year because all I had was a Xbox, SNES and a NES. And since I have barly used it I let the wii collect dust for now while I still use it. Since in the coming years it will deffintly get its share of games. But not right now. So why not enjoy past gen stuff for another year since alot of crappy games are coming out except for a few killer aps here and there.

My GC and every game I bought for it is dead to me. It was my 2nd choice system for the last gen, and my last choice for this one. It's over and I'm just gonna forget it ever happened. lol

I play gamecube games on the Wii. Mostly because there are only a handful of Wii games worth owning, and only a few that are really good. Most of which have gamecube versions out as well(Mario strikers, Zelda and Res 4) When I think about it I probably could have got away with just owning a cube for another few months.

Ive noticed gamecube game sales on ebay have gone up in price. Cube games seem to be more popular now than they were during its inital run.

So little love left in the gamecube xP I am going to buy 2 more of them. A brand new one to leave in storage for about 10 years and open it then since by that time my current game cube drive should have worn out by then. Besides opening a brand new thing that you have had for ages is like opening a present on christmas. You get uber excited. And then I will buy another cheap used one for my bro to wear the drive out and enjoy some games he likes. And once he kills that gamecube I am going to gut it and do a little arts and crafts project with it :3

My Wii is hooked up to the best TV in the house so when other people are using that TV I go into my room and use my GC. I still love SSBM, it never gets old.

Wii is where it's at. Kinda annoying how you can't switch it back to Wii mode once it's in GC mode though.

I just find it highly hypocritical of him. This person spends his time trolling the GC forums preaching that the GC is dead everytime the topic gets brought up and basically bashing the system every chance he gets. This one's a clever one, he manages to troll efficiently and slyly without getting caught. Personally, I would always take this person's opinions with a grain of salt. Kthxbye

I'm not even going to response to this this piece of nonsense.

As to the reason why I switch between the two, my Wii is above my TV and I only have one Wavebird, which means that when I play multi-player GC games with friends they have to use wired controllers to play. Long story short, I don't want wires obscuring my television when playing games nor do I feel like bringing my Wii down to the ground.

Since the Wii can play the games just as well, and since I have component cables for the Wii, I use it. I gave my Gamecube to my younger sister.

I only have a Wii, and have never had a Gamecube. So I am in the process of buying all the worthwhile Gamecube games. Buying SPM: TTYD at the moment on auction (hope I win it). Got SSBM (awesome play with my friends a lot). I bought 4 gamecube controllers just for when I got SSBM and (hopefully soon) SSBB. And thinking about getting the metroids. So I have to use my Wii.

I use my Wii to play Gamecube games only because I no longer have a Gamecube. For some dumb reason I traded it in a while ago. Once the price of the GC goes down, I think $99 brand new is waay to much, I'm going to buy it again. I kinda miss it.

Metriod Prime 2 is easier to find at Toys R us then most stores I notice when I travel. And with Metriod Prime 1 I suggest trying a EB games store or a gamestop if your american. Also get F-zero if your a racing fan. that game relys on fast reflexs when you get to the harder tracks :3

I feel terriable about selling my game systems or games for that matter. The only time I have ever gotten rid of a game was because it was made by EA and those games are just plain fustrating to play and beat 80% of the time or not good. And the other exceptiong was Sonic Heros..........

But yea the Cube is still pretty expensive once they see alot of sales drop with the wii I think they are going to drop the price on the cubes then. Then I can buy another one then bury it somewhere to pull out in the future :3

Don't bother, the Wii has a gamecube built in, you already have one, there is no point in spending money to get a new Gamecube. Unless you want it for personal reasons or something.
