I'm thinking of downloading the Wii port for Zelda: Ocarina of Time after I finish Twilight.

I never finished it on the N64, and although I have a console and can pick up the used cart cheaper than it would cost Wii Points, I am wondering if the graphics and such look better with the new hardware?

I really didn't like the graphics on the N64 when it came to Zelda. The game was great, but for some reason I almost wanted the games to be 2D because the environments just looked too fuzzy to me.

As for the other systems, I am not really interested in NES or SNES games.

What do you think?

I enjoy them, although force yourself to be picky. Find games of genres you like and that are rated good by people who like the genre. Then you won't be disapointed.

Currently, in my opinion, Mario Kart 64 and Bomberman 93' are the best multiplayer game on the VC. I'd like to see some Spy vs. Spy and Gauntlet come around eventuallyon NES as well...

I own ten VC games... it's really the reason I bought the Wii.  I will be buying many more soon.

I currently own 23 VC games and have plans to purchase four more this week.  None of them the ones that came out this week.  I play them all...

None of you are actually answering his question....

Anyway, the graphics obviously aren't improved at all. It's not as if these games are remade for the Wii, they're just being emulated on the Wii. The only visual improvement comes from the fact that they're being displayed in 480p. So if you're using component cables and have a progressive scan capable TV, they will look slightly better.

the only reson i don't play VC is that im broke. But i bought ninja Gaiden and Tecmo bowl and play them some. The VC is a great option though, and you should get Ocorina of time cause it's a great game. But you will have to get a classic controller or GC controller to play it. Another VC feature is that whenever you return to the wii menu your progress is saved and you start where you were when you left. That could be helpful in zelda too.

The n64 games do look a lot less fuzzy. I hooked up my n64 and compared Mario 64 on it and the Wii, and when i looked at a tree in front of the castle it was really blurry on the n64, and looked really clear on the Wii.  It'll definately help if you have the Wii hooked up with component cables and running in progressive scan.  All VC games are bumped up to 640x480 and run in progressive scan.  Although it doesn't actually change the graphics, they are a lot sharper.  N64 games are the most noticeable, as many of its games had a blurry look to them, which is completely gone in the VC version.

Actually they look alot better on a standard tv also, I went back and played regular 64 on my tv and I was wondering if a fairy had snuck in and smeared my tv with vasoline, and I haven't had that problem with vc.

As a Nintendo fan who beat Ocarina of Time at least 20 times, I highly recommend you get it, fuzziness or not.

And I do play VC games, although my Wii hasn't been getting as much action as it did a month ago.  I currently have 8 VC NES games and 1 Genesis game, and I'm considering buying getting some SNES games I don't have already.

I do not play VC games at all. I bought Super Castlevania IV when it was released but I didn't like the game. I thought I would be playing more than I actually do.

I would love a Banjo Tooie and some other N64 titles but I doubt they will be released anytime soon.

The graphics most definetely are improved in that (for N64 games at least) the fuzzy blurring caused by the systems anti-aliasing is gone. Lines are now sharp and defined, a big improvement.

i love to play games that i used to play in the past and try the ones that i couldn't bought at the time. But i still don't use it that much because i still don't have a classic controller. i only have NES games yet.

But i'm hoping they'll launch a new service with classics reworked and new original games (with online multiplayer :D) Playing old games is fun but is not the same now and alot of the games end up being a little expensive (except for the really good ones). For example, if you want street fighter, you want the arcade version, not the snes version.

Ocarina on the VC is good, but it's awkward with the GC controller. Or it is for me, at least.

I only have 4 VC games because there aren't many out that interest me much. I'm definitely going to get Paper Mario, though.

i think if you don't like nes or snes games, then you shouldn't waste your time with the virtual console, as in my opinion some of the best older games are on the nes and snes.

if you don't like older games, wait til later this year and get something shinier and flashier.

What are you saying!!!!! Zelda was amazing graphically for its time. FFVII dose not compare.  Learn to appreciate a classic when it is hitting you in the face.
