lol its cool, i felt the same way because i grew up playing the SNES one rather than playing the nes version. needless to say, after playing the game for a few minutes, my eyes adjusted enough to look past it and i still enjoyed it.
Dynastic hero, starfox 64, zelda: a link to the past
gamer6464
Wait what? Star Fox 64 and A Link to the Past are awesome games. ALTTP just happens to be my favorite Zelda game and Star Fox 64 also just happens to be my favorite Star Fox game.
None so far, but I've only DL'd 5, so...
I wish I could have gotten more playtime out of Gunstar Heroes, though. I may have to replay it.
Um I definately regret Shockman and probably Landstalker I just can't get over the layout of the game.
I have downloaded 26 games and enjoy them all...except those two
i might regret downloading mario kart 64... we'll see. it was totally different from the game cube version, a lot has improved!
again, we'll see.
I can't beleive some of you!! Hating Mario 64, Zelda: link to the past, Mario Kart 64!?!? Are you all mental? Those are some of the best games ever. None of the gamecube reincarnations of those games even compare! I can't say any of the new Zelda's suck...but Zelda:LTTP was one of the best.
I don't really regret downloading any game so far, just I don't remember Kid Icarus being that hard when I was like...5, lol.
The two games I downloaded i regreated them both:

YES, The Legend of Zelda
dont get me wrong, i love the zelda series. but this game is different

Same here. Next to super mario, zelda is my favorite video game franchise, so i was disappointed at how difficult and boring this one was. Granted, it was the first, but since i've been so used to using a map and talking to other people, this one felt difficult, IMO

Hating on Zelda LttP dosen't make any sense to me either. However, I just don't get what anyone ever saw in Mario 64. To me M64 just dosen't feel like a Mario game. I remember going over to the one kid on the block's house who had a 64 and playing this and just feeling so dissapointed (we all did), so dissapointed that none of us really went near the 64 again.
I know this is a sentence for another forum but: M64 never toppedthe big gamesthat were on PSX back then. I don't think it changed many people's minds on which system toinvest in(or play for that matter). Just my opinion but M64 is probably one of the, if not THE most over-rated, over-hyped game in history.
Generally if you didn't play a game back in the days when it was new, you probably won't like it today. If your first gaming system was playstation/n64 or above, then you will probably feel very disappointed with just about all the VC games.
Just seeing some one say they are a fan of the Zelda series, yet say they are disappointed in A Link to the Past is proof enough. That game was, and still is, amazing. Especially for it's time. It's still my favorite in the series.

I am in the same boat! I dont regret any of the games I have got(which is quite a few!!...like...about 20.)but kid I. is one hard game to play!! when i was 8 we all thought that game was easy! oh how my skills have fallen!

Well, that's my case. I started playing in the SNES era, but my first Zelda was Ocarina of Time. I enjoy many other SNES games, like Super Metroid (my first Metroid was MP3, but I like it anyways). I think this happens to many people.

Yeah, that's why I said that if a person didn't play it back in the day, then they generally will not enjoy it now. It's almost akin to listening to music. Each generation usually doesn't like the music from the previous generation. There are exceptions, of course, which we call classics, hehe. It's not the best analogy, but it kinda works.

No, I think you will find that Tomb Raider and Metal Gear Solid were far morer overhyped and over-rated. They only sold because of the Playstation's popularity. I remember playing both and not only did the blocky, ugly, colourless graphics make me puke, but they bored the hell out of me.
I particularly have a passionate hatred for these two franchises. I mean, Tomb Raider sold because it had a woman with big breasts.Thats it. Nerds fancied Lara Croft. Replace her with a male character and it would never have acheivedas much success. Sex appeal is a clever way to exploit money out of people, and they still do it with music (Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears etc.).

Anyway, on topic - I really enjoyed the Splatterhouse franchise but until I downloaded it for the VC I had never played the original. I wasnt really disappointed with it, save for the fact that the Turbografx 16 version is inferior to the original arcade version.
I also downloaded Super Mario World and Neutopia, although they are both fine, apart from Neutopia being a shameless Zelda clone and not half as good. Come to think of it, Zelda would have cost me 100 Wii points less, but what the hell would I have done with the remaining points?
Super Mario Bros. 2 FAILED HARD.
It's not even really a Mario game anyway.
MrDziekuje
its a remake of a game called doki doki panic, but as a game its really not that bad. give it a chance, and dont compare it to a mario game and you should be good with it. or just download the japanese version of it instead...but careful because its really hard your first time through
