Capcom ported RE4 from Gamecube to the technically inferior PS2. I'm predicting they'll do the same to the technically inferior Wii.
Reason being, Capcom wanted to test the waters on Wii, to see if Resident Evil actually sold on the system. Since RE4: Wii Edition and Umbrella Chronicles both sold over a million units, Wii owners have proven they want some Resident Evil. And keep in mind one of those was being brought to is fourth system, and the other was an on-rails shooter.
So yeah, I think they will. But it's coming out for 360 and PS3 first. The Wii version would probably be end of 2009, early 2010 if I'm right.
Yeah like DannyRice said, it will probaly come a year or so after the intial release of the game. The market is too great to past up, but they cant port it directly to the Wii obviously, and they dont want to split thier development team to build a seperate version of the game.But once they are done, then they can focus the entire team on making it for the Wii.
well i think its a real posabilty. im sure we will see a AAA RE game on the Wii at some point. it just has far to llarge of a user base and re4 on both the GC and Wii sold wel , so capcom would be stupid if thay did not do a real RE game on the Wii.

I used to think RE5 would be so technically dazzling it would be a sin to put it on Wii. Put after the E3 demo, I think it's totally worthy. now let's hope Capcom is willing to port it.
truthfully i would rather have a all new RE game that is a direct sequal to RE4. with leon again. i mean i would be happy for Wii owners if thay ported re5 and if the controles were alot more than just aiming and waggle "re4" i might by that version as well as the ps3. but i think if thay built a new one from ground up for the Wii would be cooler. MABY if done right have it in first persone view like MP3. 60fps and enough AA to keep every thing looking nice. even if thay used basicly the same charicter moddles but with a bit better textures for every thing. another words MP3 level graphics lol.
i wonder what it would have been like if they release RE5 for the Wii 1st and then released it on other consoles later. RE4 went pretty well on the GC. So why not?
But since its being released for stronger consoles...I dont think a Wii port would cut it. They would probably have to cut lots out or something. It think they should release the version coming out for PS3/360 and later make another for the Wii but with a different storyline exclusively for the Wii. And include the Wii Zapper again. :)
a sequel to re4 game that is MADE for the wii would be better. That way they could maybe incorporate more motion specific features. That's what the wii is really all about.
No I don't think it will. But they might make another RE for the Wii once re5 comes out. Capcom aint that evil to us gamers lol. They're my fave game software company lol. Capcom listens to the community a lot so Im sure pplz are going to complain and stuff and hopefully they'll release a RE for us Wii pplz.

No it can't...
Yes it can. Resident Evil 4 didn't even push the gamecube to its limits. If the Wii is pushed to its limits then it can certainly do twice the graphics of Resident Evil 4. (The Gamecube's limit was either Star Fox Adventures or Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3 BTW)
