oh and I think it will be successful but not as much as brawl because on the first week brawl sold 1.4 million copies, making it the fastest selling copy in nintendo history. but enough about my opinion, what do you pplz think?

Historical precedent offers no help whatsoever. Mario Kart 64 outsold Super Smash Bros., but Mario Kart Double Dash was outsold by Super Smash Bros. Melee. Melee was, however, a launch title (I believe...), and those tend to always sell very well just due to lack of other games to buy.
My gut feeling tells me "no", though. Mario Kart Wii would have to blow everyone's socks and pants off to sell better than Brawl at this point, I think. Brawl's sales have been insane for a Nintendo game.

I doubt it. Brawl has been hyped to death for months. MK will be sucessful, but probably not as big as Brawl.Travo_basic
Yea... well said.
no, super smash bros is pretty much nintendo's highest selling game now a daysmonty_4256ya i bet if they made a smash bros on DS it would blow MKDS sales out of the water
Probably not, but lets not forget that the Wii has a huge install base and most of them are casuals. So if you really want to know, go ask them.xarianuniverse
Actually over 90% of Wii owners in Japen and America are core gamers meaning people who owned at least one console last gen so no, you're wrong.
But I'm glad to know that you thought grandmothers and people who have never played video games before were lining up hours before a store opens to get a Wii.
Im gonna avoid the hardcore vs casual argument because the audience is obvious,
But I think Mario Kart will be awesome, but theres not even close to the same hype or competitive atmosphere for Mario Kart that there was for brawl, i mean midnight openings and tournaments, mario kart isnt recieveing the same marketing, it wont outsell brawl
