Do you think these RPG's will have sequels on WiiU?

Xenoblade

Arc Rise Fantasia

Skies of Arcadia

Secret of Mana

Last Story

Legend of Legaia (I just put this on the list just because those two games were Epic and my favorite RPG's of all time, the 1st was better than the 2nd in my opinion though)

Front Mission (even though it's technically a Tactics game)

Shin Megami Tensei/Persona (I Love This series)

Sakura Wars

Super Robot Taisen

That is a VERY tough call. I'm sure everyone who has played Persona or Xenoblade would love to have sequels on the Wii U, but Nintendo really hasn't been the best as localization when it comes to games.

If I remember correctly, I believe that a bunch of gamers had to petition Nintendo just to bring over Xenoblade and The Last Story over here to the US.

So I'm going to say that there is a low chance Nintendo will have those RPG sequels on the Wii U. :(

Unless we create another petition :D

All those would make great additions to any library. I, personally, would love a Skies of Arcadia sequel or something.

BTW, has there been ANY Super Robot Wars game here in the U.S? I'd love a copy.

Xenoblade and The Last Story won't have sequels, both were completely wrapped up. I'm sure there will be another Xeno named game, but it'll have nothing to do with the Xenoblade world.

I'd rather see Monolith Soft bring on a new massive universe for us to explore, Xenoblade was utterly amazing, but it was wrapped up extremely well, onto the future!

I think they should bring back EarthBound, either for WiiU or 3DS.

It's been pretty long since the last one and the series have a big following... (particularly in the US)

Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 1 and 2 on the GBA. :)

Anyways, I hope that if Xenoblade and Last Story get sequels, it'll be like Final Fantasy; brand new stories, characters, concepts, etc. and not related to the others. Like Last Story 2 would be a completely seperate game from Last story.

If we can get Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy on the Wii U I will be more than satisfied. What is the latest news on Dragon Quest X anyway?

As much as I would LOVE to see a Skies of Arcadia sequel, I don't see it in the cards on ANY system anytime soon. Likewise, I'm not sure what the Wii U's fate is when it comes to RPGs in general. I'd like to think that it has a decent chance at getting some quality games in the genre, but after seeing how the Wii fared for most of its life when it came to RPGs, I'm not the most optimistic.

I'm actually playing through The Last Story right now, and I think it has the potential to be even better if Mistwalker gave it another shot. The way Nintendo handled the game was unacceptable, however, and that makes me somewhat skeptical about seeing any follow-ups to that game.

I wouldn't say most important but I did like Baten Kaitos alot. I own multiple copies of both Baten Kaitos and Baten Kaitos Origins so yea I'd love Kalas to make a return or even a new main character.

This article is way back from August: http://wiiudaily.com/2012/08/the-last-story-developer-thinks-wii-u-is-great-for-jrpgs/ It sure looks like we might have a Last Story sequel, spiritual successor, or at the very least a new Mistwalker game on the Wii U at some point. I would love to see some JRPGs make their way onto the Wii U in NA soon!

Yeah, I like the story more on Origins but the battle system on EWATLO was way, WAY better.

The Persona games are exclusive to Sony systems and sell well there, so that is unlikely. However, a Shin Megami Tensei is more likely to appear on the Wii U as that franchise had games appear on Nintendo systems.

Yes, I forgot about that. Sorry for my mistake.

I'd be absolutely thrilled if an SMT game made it to the WiiU.

Hard to tell. Let's hope so.

RPG's could really be improved with the Wii U GamePad, so my fingers are crossed in hopes of seeing a resurgence of the genre with the Wii U.
