WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much. It's like Halo 3 of Nintendo. I'm not saying Zelda sucks because it is lightyears ahead of Halo, but they're both overhyped.
Are you kidding me?! WHAT kind of question is that?! Zelda games are what made Nintendo (along with Mario of course), but with Mario alone, Nintendo wouldn't be as big as it it today.
I don't think so. TP was far from the greatest game ever but it was still a great game that was worth my $50. Without past Zelda games (mainly Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past) I would not be as much into videogames as I am today.
I love Zelda games about as much as any Nintendo fan (assuming they like 'em a lot), but I think they get overhyped. They're great, but I've liked a few other games more than Zelda. I know it's overhyped because, ever since TP came out, there are two sides with very few people in the gray: the side that always expects Zelda to be perfect, but was disappointed by the game; and the side that thought that TP was the greatest Zelda ever made. I'm in the gray, so :P.
YES! After the best game ever, Ocarina of Time, and how it revolutionized gaming today, there's no doubt that everyone expects later Zelda games to be even better.
