I just "finished" Super Mario Galaxy (meaning I beat Bowser at the center of the universe, but still have about 9000 stars to get). As I was watching the credits I wondered how many other people watch the credits on a game.

And if you do, what game has the most impressive (i.e. fun, creative, entertaining) credits?

I would change the 'yes, because I hope there is something cool at the end' to 'Yes because there is always something cool at the end.' Every game rolls the credits and gives you a little bit more, even if it is nothing more that a picture or something. Seeing the whole game is not complete until you get that last thing. Take Zack and Wiki for the Wii... if you don't stay for the credits you miss out on a major point of the endgame.

I watch it for extra goodies or because the game needs to save afterwards. The secrets where much better back in the days. I remember dr. robotnik juggling with the chaos emeralds.

most definitely yes, and the game I have in mind right now is zelda: wind waker. that had quite the epic ending music, especially for a game I somewhat hated. ocarina of time also had good, hearty makes-you-teary ending credits

I totally know what you mean! I was sad to finish OoT just because I didn't want the story to ever end! That game was great.

The greatest credits in videogame history, though, has to be Portal. I know that's nowhere NEAR a Wii game, but oh well.

"And I am still alive..." Classic.

I definitely watch the credits for Guitar Hero III because

**SPOILER**

you get to play Through The Fires And Flames for the whole credits.

I only watch for good game. The BEST credits ever were the credits for Portal in the Orange Box. You will never beat that.

The worst credits were Assassin's Creed credits. Absolutely nothing going on, just blue, and they go for, and I'm not kidding, 20 minutes straight. I watched most of an episode of Seinfeld. They're so long, the give you an achievement for not shutting off the power before they finish.

in games like RE and so, yes (well I do not actually wtach the credits is more that i let them run  ) bc there is a save at the end. Same with CV games....

Others bc of the above I hav emake the costume of watching them just in case they have something extra (lately more gaes have that :P )

so of course I voted the second option

I watch the credit, but not out of respect to the game's creators (though they're awesome!). After I beat a game, I always feel proud and feel as if I just did something incredible and watching the credits only boosts my mood knowing I really beat the game to its end.

I don't really watch the names, but I let them scroll and do something else for a few minutes and then if something interesting happens i'll start to pay attention again.

Yes. I have been doing so since the NES era. It because of watching the credits at an end of a game that I now know that Princess Peach's voice in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl were voiced by a new voice actress: Samantha Kelly. This explains why her voice is different in Melee and recent Mario spin-off games.

It is often too bad that video game credits often do not list the cast member with the character he voiced, so I do not know who voiced a certain character.

I only watch the credits to a game only if the music is awesome. Like the Metroid Prime 3 music credits. That song was epic.

Absolutely I always do. I do it not just because there may be something at the end, but if I put a lot of time into a game I want to get everything I can out of it!

My favorite credits are A link to the Past. I remember OoT being cool but I don't remember anything about it at all since I haven;t finished the game in 8 years so I can't say if it's the best.

I only watch the end credits.

A friend of mine plays the game and calls me in when the credits start rolling. I have fun that way.

Rarely. If they're the type of credits where something's happening while the credits are rolling, I'll stay and watch them. If they're just the boring "here is a giant list of names" type of credits, I'll just roll over to the computer and wait for them to finish to see if you get anything extra out the end.

I like SSB and SSBM's ending credits because you can just sorta fast forward them... or pinpoint someone you've probably never heard of to see their role in making the game (if that even interests you..)

I do if things change while they're scrolling... like SMG has the different pictures, SM64 has the camera zooming around levels, etc. ...I never leave the room though, I just get on my laptop or something and if something happenes, I'm still there to catch it.

Yeah, I usually do if the game was great or I think there will be some feature or bonus at the very end. If the game was just subpar or bad, then there probably isn't anything at the end, so I just either skip it or turn the game off.

For example, I just beat Red Steel today. Had a feeling there was nothing at the end of the credits, so I just pushed "A" and went back to the main menu. Then when I realized I'd have to beat the entire thing over again to get the GOOD ending, I turned off my Wii and put the game back in the case.
