I like the fact that Activision is making some "core" games for the Wii --- but if Activiision wants to realize the Wii's potential they should make a game especially for the Wii that fully utilizes the Wii motion controls and graphics, not just porting a game from the 360despa1r_fact0rsame
though im happy they are taking it seriously
Activision usually is a Multi platform developer.. They are doing Wii games that are exclusive though. The audience they appeal to is a different story...
We are getting most if not all the Major games from them.
Guitar Hero isn't gimped at all. GH3 doesn't have DLC, big deal. GH4 is completely ungimped. It has all the features of the PS3 and Xbox 360.Zero0o
So it's fine that GHIII has no DLC but it's a problem that RB doesn't have it?
Rockband didn't even have online, which Guitar hero had, and it was a pretty good Wifi title for Wii.GoDsSoN770
So that makes it ok that the game doesn't have DLC when the other versions did?

It doesn't make it ok, of course not.
It's just that DLC wasn't that big of a deal to me, and online is.
Rock Band's loss of Wi-Fi when being ported over to the Wii was pure laziness on their part. They didn't feel like configuring the game with Nintendo Wi-Fi.
Activision, however, is taking the time to put everything possible into the GH series for Wii.

Thought it was a port of the Ps2 version, that didn't have online.. did it?

A large sum of users who felt the need to complain with the same thread over and over again. I just needed to know his stance on the subject.

Zero0o
It was, but it COULD have been configured for the Wii. They just didn't bother, along with the character creation bit they left out
That's why I'm not even bothering with RB, Activison actually cared about wii owner since GH3 and it shows, GH3 sold about 2 millions on Wii, that's more copies than the other 2 consoles. They didn't released the game 6 months later and they were in talk with Nintendo to add DLC, but Nintendo wasn't quite yet ready to give them that I guess. Now world tour Wii will have everything the other 2 consoles have. That is caring. Kudos to a great company. Now if we could get Diablo 3... :)

Yup, they cared so much that they decided to port the PS2 version of Guitar Hero 3 to the Wii opposed to building it from the ground-up.

Well, they were testing ground, It might have been a port put it worked great. Online was well implemented and like I said, they were ready to add DLC. I have nothing against port when it's well done (RE4 anyone?). World tour won't be a port form the Ps2 version (if they are making one) but from the 360 or PS3. Read Ign's hand on impression.

why are you so against guitar hero(dark night6) it revolutionized music games and happens to not as be as lazy as rock band and is smart enough to make the wii version the same as the 360 and ps3 versions so everybody won't left out or ripped off

You do realize that Guitar Hero and Rock Band are made by the developers Activision and Harmonix, respectively. You keep talking as if the games developed themselves. Guitar Hero did revolutionize console rhythm games, under Harmonix, who went on to make Rock Band. All Activision can do right is what Harmonix has already done.
Activision cared the moment they showed Nintendo character models of Zelda and Metroid in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
The only problem was...they showed the characters running on the PS2 M;UA because the Wii version was not ready.
It was one of the saddest moments in crossover history, one that could have had a lot of consumers clamoring for more.

That's stinkin awesome! Thanks dude!
Activision doesnt care about the wii. GH3 was just a ps2 port. CoD3 wasnt that great eather and then didnt even bother with CoD4. The only reason they are putting so much energy into GHWT is because GH3 and GHA outsold the over systems verison buy large numbers. and i do believe that CoDWaW will be using the CoD3 enginebut hey at least they gave us wii zapper spesific controlls cause the Zaaper is great....webbut
Crazy Thing is TREYARCH(GASP!!!!) managed to run the CoD4 engine on the Wii. And they repeatedly said that all versions will be using a modified CoD4 Engine(Console and handheld for the DS)
Activision is a publisher. CoD4 is Infinity Ward. GH3 and up is Nevesoft.
Any ways Harmonix is Lazy compared to Neversoft. If i remember Harmonix said it was Impossible to use SD cards for RB. But World Tour is using them. huh?
