ruined Phantom Hourglass? I dont think it "ruined it," I just would of preffered the D-pad.

Also, can you play as Link in his Jammies?

I think the touch screen controls worked well and were very fun. They hardly ruined the game. The too linear gameplay and repetitive dungeons were what ruined the game for me.

I actually liked the touch controls. Making you go back to the Temple of The Ocean King ruined it.

i think that the controls were one of the ONLY things i liked about that game. it was so easy to use, i thought. i just didnt care for the game too much beyond that.. it was DEFINITELY the repetitiveness that makes me never want to touch it again. *yaaawn*... i mean, as for LttP, there is a lot of replay value in that the game is so long.. but when youre doing the same thing over and over BEFORE YOU EVEN BEAT IT, replay value is................ 0.

Nope, they made it alot easier for things like the grappling hook and boomerange especially, although for things like the sword it seemed a bit forced and didnt work well when there was no enemie to tap. Its actually my favourite zelda game and the first ive actually beaten. It wasnt easy or repetitive at all and some of the puzzles actually had me trying again a couple of days. The temple of the ocean king didnt ruin it too much even though it was a bit repetitive, it saved alot of space on the game cart for all those other islands, because you werent going to a new dungeon each time, but they could have given more checkpoints.

Touch screen controls were much more fluid than a d-pad.

No, the touch screen made Phantom Hourglass unique from all the other zeldas, imo the touch screen was the best feature ever...

yeah i think you might be in the minority there buddy... the touch controls were excellent... and if you dont stulus control, you're about to start liking your ds a whole lot less, because it seems like a lot of really big games are going that direction. i think its excellent, especially since the ds lights d pad seems to have trouble with diaganals.

Yes, it did for me at least. I hate having part of my hand and/or stylus constantly in the way of the screen. I like to see allof the screen.

Yep feel the same way, although it's not a constant problem somtimes it's a bit awkward. And sometimes if I had to switch weapons I don't know why it doesn't pause the game, unless I'm really dumb and missed something I have to really rush to equip the item I want to I've lost health many times because of this. Oh and going to the Temple of The Ocean King so many times really turned me off the game, I still haven't finished it.. I might actually play it now, thanks TC. :)

same. i felt as though nintendo was trying to sell its point that "hey, touch screen is great. we did the right thing by giving you touch screen" more than the challenge of the game content itself.

what ruined PH was the give aways or clues to getting the treasures and dungeons puzzles right - which made me feel like they were taking players for stupid.

Yes.

I spent most of my time playing that game thinking about how nice it would have been to have the option to play with the d-pad and buttons. I think I enjoyed it much less because of the lack of option, specifically.
