I love my DS. So naturally, I bring it with me everywhere. The only problem is, I can't see a thing at all when I play outside. The sun is so bright, it looks like the DS is turned off!

Does this happen to anyone else? And is there anything I can do?

Um nothing can really be done about the sun's galre im afriad. Maybe just try find something or somewhere were the screens wont be in direct sunlight so you can see whats going on :P

The only other thing i can thing of is (if you have a DS Lite) maybe try out the differnt back light settings/levels? That might help a little.

Umbrella, ella, ella, eey, eey.

No, but seriously, it works :o

I have the same thing, you just wish the weather isn't that good. I guess it's better than rain. But you can always experiment with the brightness settings. Setting it at the highest should help you a little.

Make the screen brightness... ... ... brighter ... ... ...?

That outta' work. Probably.

silentmage_245

No it wont work because it's impossible

There's a reason that movie theaters are dark and there's different settings on TV's for ambient light in the room.

Find shade and hold it vertical

For some reason 2d games are a lot easier to see in the sunlight so maybe you can get some games like that. Or get a bunch of admirers to huddle around you to block out the sunlight.;)

Dude, I know, I've tried playing mine outside and it's just like looking into a mirror.

Back to the DS, the glare thing does really suck. Especially if you've ever tried to play in a car, which is ironically what portable consoles are designed to do. But I don't think that anything can really be done about it. I honestly play my DS mostly at home, unless I know that I'm going to a place where I'll be bored or have to wait on something.

That happens to me all of the time! What you should do is face the light and play it looking up...that is all that you can do.

Walk around with your arms straight up while holding your DS. Not only will it block out the sun, you'll be able to play it too!

;)
