Does anyone know if there is going to be a Grand Theft Auto for the 3DS?

I was just curious. I haven't heard a peep from Rockstar about any new games. Just rumors they're making a GTA 5, but I'd like to see one for the 3DS. Chinatown Wars kind of sucked because of the whole top-down thing, but I think GTA would be perfect for this system. Thoughts?

If Rockstar hasnt said anything about GTA on 3DS then Im sure noone on the Gamespot 3DS forums is going to know anything.

Hope so, and hope it'll be top-down. Those are the only GTAs I enjoy.

It would be nice, but the DS's Chinatown Wars didn't sell as well, so I kinda have my doubts. They talked of bringing GTA to the Wii, but there's no sign of that happening.

It was a major flop and I wouldn't expect it back

But anyway I doubt there will be a GTA for 3DS. If a handheld GTA is coming any time soon I expect it to come out for Vita. You never know though.

It would be pretty cool to see a San Andreas Stories on 3DS, but it would be better served in the 3rd person, and hopefully with the same focus on nifty touchscreen minigames. I don't think we'll see it, but it would be pretty cool.El_Zo1212o

That's more along the lines of what I was talking about. Top-down is ok, I just think it's better in 3rd person.

I'd really would want a GTA game to be on the 3DS. Playing GTA:SA was a ton of fun and watching someone play GTA:VC was fun too. I can't believe I almost forgot about GTA:CTW I really should get that game.
