I have noticed at least three or four different threads relating to Wii hardware problems. I've had mine since August and its never done anything out of the ordinary. Am I supposed to expect something to happen (knocks on wood)? I've played through Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Metroid, Wii Sports, SSB Melee and then some. I even left my Wii on for several hours to unlock a character for Melee. How long to people usually play their Wii's before it starts showing signs of hardware failure and what are the best ways I can avoid possible problems? I really, really don't want my Wii to crap out on me at 12:05 a.m. on January 9th... (knocks on wood again). I nearly had a heart attack on September 25th when I came home to play Halo 3 and my Xbox wasn't turning on. (I figured out quite fast that it wasn't the xbox because the tv wasn't turning on either. Turns out my friends pulled a prank by switching the circuit off in the living room... **** holes.)
Anyway, again I'd like to ask if there are any ways I can avoid a potential hardware problem? My 360 is trouble enough.
