Idk about you but I'm still staring at my DS box that came with the metroid demo lol. I was curious to know if there are still a lot of people who use the old one, or if most people have upgraded to the lite, etc.

I do. I bought mine even before of realeasing ds lite, so its quite old mine. In about 3 weeks im going to give mi little sister my ds, I bought her an r4 too, one for me and one for her and im buying a new ds for me :D
[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]hey, more respect! it's not ugly! at least not my DS. and until last week i'd answer "yes", but i finally got my hands on the DSi.benk168
Lol well it's just a little bit more 'big-boned' than the other lite models. Does anyone still play GBA games on it?
hmm... not me, but i'll probably turn it on again at some point to play super mario world... that game's always on my GBA slot :PI do. Just for future reference you can't talk about flash carts here. And I still have my DS Phat and a DSi.
I sold my phat ds when I got my psp lite, at the time I thought that I only needed one portable system and also has the chance to sold my ds for the same money i bought it!
Now that i have loads of work and travel quite I bit I realized how the psp wasnt fullfiling my needs and got a dsi..couldnt be happier!

I had a similar situation. I always wanted a PSP and traded my DS Lite in to get it, then Sony wants to annoy you with updates and take over my computer, so I went back to my original DS. I'd like a Lite ora DSi, but why pay full price for something you already have?
I have the animal crossing blue ds.
It's got bite marks, the R button sticks a little, the screen works fine (I learned stylus controls with EBA), the system sometimes doesn't recognize games, and I can sometimes see the white line that implies where the screen edge is supposed to be (hint there's more).
But I love it.
I like to play my old gameboy advancedgames on a old system rather than the DS. The old games just somehow loose something on the DS.
I still have the Big Blue Phat. And yes, I still play a few GBA games on it from time to time. I figure its still in good shape, still gives me a lot of game time, so why change? (Plus I always thought the Lite and also the DSi looked a little flimsy, their buttons are tiny and besides, I still like Big Blue.)
I got my phat model when it was first released back in 04', kept that until chirstmas of last year when I upgraded to the lite, then sold that for the DSi at a later date.
Now, after trading that for a PSP slim, then returning that for a 3000, THEN selling that for a original phat DS model, I'm back to where I started.
Interesting how that worked. :P
I do. I don't feel the necessity to upgrade now, so I'm probably going to wait until the next generation.
I was in Gamestop the other day and noticed that they were selling old reconditioned Phattys for $49. I was surprised but the clerk said they were still popular.

TAKE THAT - flimsy Dslites/dsisssssssssssssssssssss...........:P
