I heard the news that the debt ceiling in the us is rising ans so the economy would be at risk. Someone said that people should save money but to spend it in order to maintain the economy. I wonder, spending games could make a difference?

Spending money does help the economy, no matter what you buy. It shouldn't really be a factor in deciding to buy a game though as an individual purchase won't make much difference.

I heard gaming is one of the biggest industries and it's profits are always sky high. I would assume that businesses like Gamestop are huge for the industry.

So in a way, yes.

With that said, DS games are often times very cheap on Amazon, and you can often get free super saver shipping with orders $25 or over (slow, but free). And they often have games dirt cheap with free shipping in the Amazon Warehouse section of the Goldbox Deals are. Very nice, DS-friendly site (and the site loads fine in the 3DS browser, too).

Every time we make a purchase, at the same time we are contributing to the economy.

Spend money LEGALLY. It means all the commerce benefits and we all benefit from commerce. And yes, this is a way to help but prioritize your needs over a game

When you make a game purchase it gives money to the retailer, the game company and state/local sales taxes if applicable. So yet, it helps the economy.

Swings and round abouts. Anything and everything you buy helps the economy. People are worrying too much about the recession, it's not the first time we've been in a recession and certainly won't be the last, things have a way of working itself out.

It might help the economy. You are demanding, demand = game, to make game you need developers, jobs are created. However, if the corporates are sitting on a bunch of profits and not spending that, then that is bad for the economy.
