I heard the news that the debt ceiling in the us is rising ans so the economy would be at risk. Someone said that people should save money but to spend it in order to maintain the economy. I wonder, spending games could make a difference?

Spending money does help the economy, no matter what you buy. It shouldn't really be a factor in deciding to buy a game though as an individual purchase won't make much difference.
I heard gaming is one of the biggest industries and it's profits are always sky high. I would assume that businesses like Gamestop are huge for the industry.
So in a way, yes.
With that said, DS games are often times very cheap on Amazon, and you can often get free super saver shipping with orders $25 or over (slow, but free). And they often have games dirt cheap with free shipping in the Amazon Warehouse section of the Goldbox Deals are. Very nice, DS-friendly site (and the site loads fine in the 3DS browser, too).
Swings and round abouts. Anything and everything you buy helps the economy. People are worrying too much about the recession, it's not the first time we've been in a recession and certainly won't be the last, things have a way of working itself out.passion_shadesI love the way you put that. I hope you are right, man.
