hey im thinking about getting the ds zelda bundle for x-mas, and i've done a lot of research in my decision between the ds and the psp. i want the ds, but i have one last question that i havent found an answer for anywhere else. does the touchscreen on the ds ever get scratched or dull from always using the stylus? i dont want to be playing games on it and having huge scratches across the screen or having the bottomw touchscreen look all dull and faided. i would really appreciate it if everyone out their could respond and let me know what your experiences with it are. if you also could tell me how long you've had your ds and what games you can recommend for a new ds lite owner.

Honestly I've never got a scratch on the touch screen. I just wipe the tip of my Stylus on my T-Shirt before I use it. But if your worried get a screen protector. Hori is hands down the favorite of users and it apparently has little effect on the sensitivity of the screen itself. It comes with two protectors but you really don't need to use the top one at all.

Unless you furiously stab at your screen, you should be fine. Just be gentle with it.

It will get scratches over time especially if you play it a lot. What did you expect? You use it and it will show the results. No worries hereenjoy it

It only gets scratches and or dull when a person mistreats their DS, ive had my DS for some time now and it has no scratches and no signs of the screen dulling. If you want to scratch it take a razor blade to the screen.

I play my ds a lot and its yet to get a scratch. I just dont pound or press my stylus hard into the screen, a light tap is all it takes.

I have a screen protector on mine and it doesn't distort or ruin the graphics plus they are cheap so if you are hard on it,maybe try one. Happy Gaming!

IT WILL GET SCRATCHED AND DULL SPECIALLY IF YOU BRING IT OUTSIDE A LITTLE DUST OR SAND ON THE SCREEN WILL CAUSE A SCRATCH IF YOUR STYLUS GETS ON IT

GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR AND HAVE NO WORRIES IT THE BEST WAY TO KEEP YOUR SCREEN SAFE REPLACE WITH NEW ONE WHEN THE SCRATCHES ARE TO BAD

THATS WHAT I DO

I've always used a screen protector so I haven't had any problems. They're pretty inexpensive and if it gets too scratched up I just replace it with a new one.
