Does the ds wifi work with a secured wireless router?

Does the ds work with a secured wireless router? whats wep and wpa? ds only has wep ? :roll:

it should. you would just have to input your security code, which i believe is what the wep is.

Poster above got it correct. But unfortunatly wep is the best you do and still have it function. Oh well in my neighborhood everyone has high speed anyway so i'm pretty safe.

There are two main types of wi-fi security encryption. The WEP and the WPA. Nintendo DS accept only WEP, it's the oldest and easily breakable, but it's ok for the most cases.

Be sure your router uses WEP, if it is secured.

yea wep and wpa are the encrypyion codes. u can put your own pssword 4 wpa but not for wep. go into your router write down the wep code(wpa isnt supported by ds) and put it in your DS

Not true. I was able to choose my WEP password. It depends on the wireless router brand.
