The reason I ask is because for some reason, I cant play Super Smash on the Wii. It plays on my Gamecube, but every-time I load it in the Wii, and I mean EVERYTIME, it errors. I have never been able to run Super Smash on my Wii, it always disc errors. I can run all my other Gamecube games on the Wii without a problem, except for Smash. Whats up? Anyone else experience this?
I think that all gamecube games should play on the wii. Even if the wii didn't play all gamecube games, it would surely play one of Nintendo's most successful games.

So if I took some sand paper, scratch my SSBM disc then snap it in half, It shouldn't have any trouble playing just because its one of Nintendo's most succesful games?
Melee plays on my Wii eveytime. WiiSports is onother stoy it has a disc read error and i have to take the disc out it pisses me off cause i got a launch Wii and im not sure if Nintendo will send me a new disk :'(

No, Mr. Smarty Pants. I'm saying that Nintendo would place extra emphasis on making it backward compatible with the hardware if compatibility were limited. If you messed up your disc, it's your own fault. Now go pour some more salt on yourself and write a few poems.
