Does your pointer ever twitch?

Does your pointer on the Wii ever twitch while moving the remote? Mine does, and it's reeeeeeeeeally annoying. Does anyone else have this problem? I think I'm going to call Nintendo, but I'm just making sure that for some off chance that it may be normal.

So, just tell me if your pointer on the screen is really smooth, or twitchy like mine. Thanks!

3 to 10 feet is the recomendation. Though it seems to get twitchy on the outer edge of this range.

Now I suppose if you replaced the sensor bar with a pair of *whatever* that can emit a stronger IR light, you'd get better range on the thing. Alternatively, you could just try moving the bar closer to you.

That happens to me when I am too far away. Try getting really close and see if it is still happening.Guckyy

What he said, you're probably too far away. I've stood across the living room from the kitchen where my Sensor Bar is and that happens to it.

I went to see if my pointer twitches and the funny thing is that itactually twitches a fair amount while I'm in the Mii Channel. What I did was lay the Wii Remote on a table in front of the sensor bar and the damn little hand/cursor will twitch, and I'm not even touching it. It doesn't happen anywhere else and gameplay doesn't seem to be affected. I tried it with two other controllers with lights on and off, in close range, and it still does it, but like I said it's only really noticablein the Mii Channel.

I get twitching if there are flat reflective surfaces near the tv or sensor bar or in between the sensor bar and the wiimote. The signal from the sensor bar simply reflects onto a flat reflective surface and screws with you wiimote. Direct sunlight from outside does this as well, the wiimote picks it up and starts twiching.

Unavoidable I guess, just think about the positioning and light sources when setting up your wii thats all.

It could be batteries going dead, it could be the glare from a window(like someone said), it could be the sensitivity of the sensor bar not set correctly...

I have had it happen before, and I found out that the batteries were going low...I think less than half power left in them and they started causing the cursor to go haywire somewhat.

Best way to fix this is to go into your wii settings and go into the sensor bar settings, choose sensitivity and have a look at the screen. If there is more than 2 white blinking blobs on the screen then you have interference. basically you need to get rid of this interference, it could be light or something like a cordless telephone.

Do you have any mirrors or lights or reflective surfaces like doorknobs? Take your tv remote and start pointing at various surfaces and see if you can still work the tv. You may be surprised at the IR reflections occuring in the tv room.

sometimes i point the wiimote at the screen and the lil hand is upside down! it quicky changes back to normal though, i also get twitches at times,can someone please explain more in depth what u have to do in the sensitivity option!!!

I have not had any problems with the pointer.

Do the "two dot" sensitivity setting, it ACTUALLY helps :|dieworm
