When I start up my Wii, and the warning thing in white comes up about saftey, after I press A the the white message would usually just fade out into blackness, but what happens with me is, they fade out half way and then its stop, so you can still see the message, as if it froze or something, but then just loads normally...This started happening after the update about a month ago.

Also with Super Mario Galaxy, when I load it up, it's laggy when I click on the icon, when it zooms in, it studders... I tried this at someone else's house and it didn't appear to do anything. I am on my third Wii by the way..

sounds like an overheat issue. wierd things happen when something overheats. but to be sure, go to settings and stuff and the format your wii to default or w/e the option is. guess u better back up data on an sd. otherwise contact nintendo to get it exchanged.

No I'm not fomating my Wii!! Are you kidding that would get rid of my all VC problems for good!! These are just small problems... It has to be happening to more than just me. Read what I said again and next time you start up your Wii look for it...

Im assuming that either your Wii has some technical issues, or it's overheated. I would contact Nintendo if it gets serious, but it's not that bad.

feel the left side of it and see if it is warm, that will tell you if it's an overheating problem. Atleast that's how mine was. But it didnt hang up like that.

If it's an overheating problem check the ventilation fan on the side of your Wii above the cords, it might be stuck.

Yup I would say its overheated, I have mine placed vertically in the grey stand and have had no overheating problems.

As for your VC...Im pretty sure if you phone Nintendo you could work something out. But your saved data should be your main problem I know of no way to keep that...

I dont have the same problem, but after a while my Wii will load to the menu very slowly. Meaning when I come out of a game. You might wanna try backing up your saves and reformatting the memory, you lose all your message board messages and your miis though but it may speed it up.
