theres plenty of other games other than mario and pokemon on ds

read the ds recommendation thread and check out some of the games there, you'll definately find something interesting.

I got both the PSP and DS lite, trust me. I dont ever touch my PSP ne more, i'm so addicted to the ds. Well it depends on what kind of games you like. Nintendo is mostly about the likeable kiddy games. I mostly play RPG's on my ds, along with mario kart and tetris. hope this helps

Well, you're posting this on the DS board so most people are going to say yes. But I'm saying no, don't buy it. You seem too sceptical and uninterested in what the DS currently has (assuming you've done a decent amount of research on the games). Don't get me wrong, the DS does have some great games out there but as I said, as sceptical as you come off, it'd be a waste of money to buy the DS for like $140 along with $30 a pop for games.

My suggestion is to look up some more games. Go to youtube, watch some video gameplay and then decide. If you're sincerely interested in buying a DS, you'll get your answer. As for now, don't risk it just yet. You don't want to look back at a DS collecting dust with 2-3 games you never finished next to it.
