Don't you miss all the AAAs Nintendo used to spill out

Look at the Nintendo 64 Gamespot page, there are just so many darn AAAs

There were so many innovative and revolutionary games... I just wish Wii was the same!

If Super Paper Mario, Zelda: Twilight Princess, and others were started on the N64 back in the 90s they would probably get AAAs

Metroid Prime 3 will most probably get AAA, but I'm thinking low AAA

Super Mario Galaxy low AAA

I doubt there will be more AAA games. The Wii only has one now, and that's Wario Ware...

I would not say that, the games that are out are all playable on the GC except small control aspects. So that means it is not pushing the console which means it is hard to hand it a AAA rating.

Ok so basicly what you are saying is that just because a game is playable on an older console it's not as good as some game that couldn't? So to you AAA is good graphics and fysics not how fun and enjoyable a game is, think you have missed the point about gaming.

 Those games are released over the ENTIRE LIFE SPAN of the system (N64).  The Wii has only been out 5 months! I am sure someone will make the exact same post in 10 years talking about how awesome the Wii lineup was.  Personally, I have been quite pleased so far.  IMO This Zelda has been my favorite.

Ok...iam not a nintendo fanboy by any strech of the imagination the last two systems i owned were a ps1 and ps2...and before i bought my wii i had never owned a nintendo console, but what he is saying is right the reviewers do play favorites because i played both warioware and zelda, and although warioware was given a higher rating than zelda i think that zelda is the superior game by far. the only explanation as to why they would give it a lower grade is what he said theyre playing favorites, and i dont think anyone here is being a fanboy..if the majority of people believe that zelda is an amazing game..wouldnt you think its true?

The only reason the Wii never gets many AAA titles is because it is not as graphically powered as the PS3/360.  They compare the graphics to them two powerhouses, and not to the capabilities of the Wii.

GS use to over rate games.

They gave OoT, Tony Hawk Por Skater 2 and Soul Calibur all tens.  All were good, but not deserving of tens.  And They gave freakin Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast a high nine!  That game was crap!

And the 64 did not still out AAA titles all the time.  They were just as spaced out as they are now.  But, the 64 definatly had a better launch title.  Super Mario 64.  And here we got an over rated and over hyped Zelda gamecube game port.

Please, enough with this "AAA" game talk. People are just obsessed with websites giving video games a certain score because they don't feel good about their game purchase otherwise. I think that's completely stupid. I loved Zelda: Twilight Princess whether GameSpot rated it high or not. Do I think it deserved a 9.0? No I think that should be reserved for completely one of a kind games, but that doesn't make me feel less about the game I bought. They are very insecure fan boys who just want to take as many 9.0 scores or higher and shove it in the faces of Sony/Microsoft fans. They are insecure about the purchase of their Wii and need some website to rate games high in order to justify their purchase of the system. Please, stop the obsession now.TheLordMagnus

Graphics are rated compared to the the other games already out for the system or with the system's capabilities.

LMAO, Nintendo is NOT going to release GALAXY, BRAWL AND MP3 in ONE year.

We Will see MP3 - LATER 2008 -, we will see GALAXY and possibly Brawl Q4.

It is like Microsoft releasing HALO, JADE EMPIRE AND GEARS 2 all in two quaters. Q1 is done, Q2 is blank, so leaves Q3 - Q4.

Here's an idea, if reviews mean that much to you, go check out some other publications ratings for LoZ:TP, EGM gave it a 10/10 now you can add it to the "AAA" list I guess. Reviews are opinions and eveyone is entitled to their own, just beacause GS gave it a 8.6 or whatever doesn't make it so, IMO any LoZ game since the beginning of the franchise (let's all forget the CDI versions) have deserved a 10/10 but you may feel differently and that's cool too, bottom line GS, regardless of what they tell you, are not God and their reviews are not God's decree set in stone.bubnux

To be fair its down to opinion and if you played these games when they were new out or in reviewers cases before they were out.  OOT was an amazing game far beyond its time.  Soul Calibur was probably the last game that truly leaped forward in visuals for me, everything since has been baby steps unfortunately.  And even Sonic adventure in its time did stand out against the games it was competing with.

Erm i think you'll find that Rare made most of those AAA's.

I love Nintendo but Im afraid they wont do things now that they would have done back in the N64 days.

1. They dont encourage third party companies enouh to use their features such as Miis, Connect24, and DS/Wii connections.

2. They dont use their own features enough. They need to incorporate Miis, Connect 24, and DS/Wii connection into their software. Otherwise these cool features mean absolutely nothing.  

3. Nintendo wont make any FPS, TPS, RPGS and things like that. They limit their First party games to too few of genres. They need to make a killer FPS scifi type of game or at least fund a Second Party dev to do so.

4. Online plan is crap. They refuse to make a good online plan which is very easy to do.

I know I am sounding very harsh towards Nintendo but they are still my most favorite company. I could make pages and pages of problems with PS3 and 360. But Im not a fanboy, Im not gonna gloat about every aspect of Nintendo. If something is wrong Im am gonna say. That being said I love alot of things about the Wii, they just need to do some of the things I listed above and it will truly be a REVOLUTION!

Im not gonna flame you but you do know that Rare hasnt made almost any good games since it left Nintendo. You have to remeber that Rare made those games WITH Nintendo. As you can see Rare hasnt any AAAs it really deserved. PD0 was joke, I cant believe it got 9.0. BUt even so that is only one game. When Rare was making games with Nintendo they were shooting the AAAs out like crazy.

People put WAY too much emphasis one reviews now! When I first started playing games I never read any reviews! And if I had and it didn't give the game a score I thought it should have I wouldn't have lost my mind over it. It's a person's opinion... it's like saying you won't play a game because your friend said his cousin's uncle's friend said it wasn't one of the best games ever. "Remember when Nintendo used to put out games that Billy down the street said were awesome?! Billy down the street doesn't think their games are the best anymore, what happened to Nintendo?" That's just lame, sorry.

NEVER rely on reviews, because its gona make alot games less fun because your gona be thinking if the game lived up to the hype. Its ok to read reviews after you have played the game.

Zelda TP......that game wasnt as good anyway. I was very hyped about this game, it was my childhood. But now that ive nearly finished the game.......im very dissapointed, it had no depth and very less things to do. The only good thing i can say about the game is the awesome music and beautiful scenes in the game and horse riding. Didnt enjoy many of the temples, except twilight palace that was the best dungen.

Wario Ware was nothing more then simple mini games which lasted for like 5 seconds which sucks and should not even

be considered a proper game (next to AAA titles that is).  "Super Mario Galaxy low AAA" are you serious? Actually na...u gotta be a little kid or something to consider a mini game title better then a full mario game which is not even out yet

I 50/50 agree with you,the only games Nintendo would of worked on rare's games would of been donkey kong 64 and diddy kong racing,goldeneye,banjo,perfect dark are all new ip's Rare created.

PD0 was ok and Kameo is a great platformer,but no they don't come up to polish with there previous entries.Viva Pinata is one of the 360's best games however and with the upcoming banjo-threee i think Rare are back on the up :)
