Well, considering the fact that most, or if not the majority of peopel on these forums is younger than say, 30, then you prob wont see much clamor and hoopla for it...
I am 31 and married, and my wife does walk alot and exercises, so for us, the wiifit game sounds liek it coudl be fun, and poss somewhat bene. for her, and me.
I actually need to gain weight. So these exercise games for the Wii, I need to stay away from.
Lol when I step on the balance board it is going to say "Please step on the Wii's balance board." Thats how lite I am.
iam really excited about wii fit from the first time i saw it.i think that it has huge potential to make even more people who are gamers or are not gather infront of their tv's and play.the wii balance board is an awesome device that can truly give a new feeling to every game that will try to use it.i know that i will wait some time because iam from europe and it has not even got a release date but i believe it will be worth it.
[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]not really excited for it. If it actually does help you loose weight, might consider itedd678
Agreed.
whatswith the picture of that guy who has the really scary face inthe background? it freaks me out!It looks ok. No I'm not very excited for it. I can see potential for it but at the moment it doesn't look all too great.
I'm getting it, I've been excited for it since I heard about it.
I try anything when it comes to gaming. No one can call themselves hardcore if they pass it by. Since I like the moniker I'll be getting it at launch.

I'm passing it by. I'm not hardcore anymore ....:|
Frankly I'm disappointed with how they're using the balance board.
I mean the Wii remote is one of the most innovative gaming peripherals ever created, so Nintendo just goes and makes another clumsy peripheral for a one off game (or maybe it will be used in other titles too).
I would have been much happier if they included the wii remote and balance board in the same game, using your 2 hands and balance to get a picture of what your entire body is doing. I havent seen this in any preview so far, and this is what has disappointed me.
as just a person im kind of excited to fire it up with my family but as a gamer im hurt and offended that nintendo would waste good E3 time on that crap. a casual game at an expo for hardcore gamers. nintedo should have saved that wii fitness crap for their little nintendo expo thingwebbut
E3 isn't for gamers.

Why do you think it was only open to the media? E 4 all was for gamers.

I've had the same problem with Wii fit.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves used the Wiimote to do some tasks that are similar to some found in Wii fit. Like the mini game called Spring Training you had to dodge fireballs by leaning from side to side, in Wii Fit you have to hit soccer balls by leaning from side to side. I guess my point is if the Wiimote can do it why do I need a separate controller for the same thing.
I know the Wii balance board can do more than just that but I don't need a $70 game to do push ups and to tell me how much I weight.
I'm looking forward to it, but then I am a casual gamer.
I love my dance mat, and think it's really fun (when I actually have room to play with it..), and I need to exercise. I only hope the prize will be reasonable, and there will be enough games/exercises to keep you using it.
I'm not really as excited for it as I am curious. The thing with me and the Wii is I refuse to support casual games as of right now. That is not the image the system and the company needs right now and I don't want all the big game releases in the furture to become mostly simple, casual games.
Like I said though I will want a chance to get on the balance board and see what it's all about. I do believe 100% in the technology and I do also think it'll be successful. Only time will tell.
You probably lose weigth with Wii fit if your on it like 24/7 but helps you burn calories from what i hear and im getting burning some extra calories while playing game its a win win but i bet it will get dull overtimelolag
"You will more than likely only lose weight with Wii Fit if you played it 24/7. Apparently though I hear it will also burn calories, and if I'm able to burn some extra calories while playing a video game then that's a great thing! The only thing I worry about is that after it gets old it might not be fun to play."
Hey there buddy, I thought I would do you a favor, maybe to save some embarrassment for you and some integrity for these forums, and fixed your post. I went a head and reposted a fixed version of what I'm pretty sure you were trying to say. I just went ahead and included capitalization, some punctuation, proper grammar and sentence structure (as in knowledge of the English language), and a little fourth grade level spelling. I thought it might help get your idea across a little better lol. You're welcome!
Oh and I totally agree with you on that aspect of Wii fit. I'm curious about how fun it will be, but if it really helps lose weight it's a huge coupe for Nintendo.

i was talking about wii fit and not about wii balance board, it think the balance board could be nice for i don't know, snowboard but let me say that nintendo tends to overrate the intuitivity of the things they make and may be we will end up having to kick the balance board so that the skateboard leans a bit
Most of the ppl come here are game player focus more times than light users, but Wii fit design for common people who don't usually play.
Wii Fit isn't aimed at people on Gamespot. It's kind of unclear who its aimed at, because the demographic they're aming for doesn't own a Wii yet. It could help expand into that area though.A7XfanI'll assume it is targeted towards non-gamers that:
