for me i would prefer DQM..but im not saying that i dont like pokemon.. what about you?angelakoi
Pokemon. the best reconizable and more features. Great online, and spot on voice chat too.
Not saying that dqm is bad, it actually looks great, but I guess I'll say pokemon, and all fans should too
DQM:Joker requires more grinding than pokemon(something that im not that much of a fan of)
although gameplay wise I think its deeper than pokemon
Pokemon is just simple, harmless fun which makes it uhm..... fun
both games are great to be honest
I 've never played DQM but I 've heard is quite good; and my reality is that I 've played pokemon since Red and Blue version were released and I continue playing it but not with the same enthusiasm. (Pearl and Diamond). So as a Pokemon player, I would say Nintendo monster series is the best, despite is gettin' repetitive on each "new" version.huntervaneg
I remember when Red and Blue came out. I was in middle school and during out breaks we would all challenge each other. But I haven't played any of the games since then. Actually, I think Gold was my last game which I only tried. I still can't believe it's going strong.
Pokemon, because I've known it longer and used to watch it so I know something about it. But DQM games looks pretty cool too.
The new pokemon was annoying in the way that it had 2 fire pokemon in all the game.
no idea how to get online though.
dragon quest looks good though
Gotta be DQM for me. It's more of a challenge, I love the fact that you can merge monsters, and I'm generally a big dragon quest fan..
pokemon is still good though...
Joker was pretty bad imo, I was very very psyched for it, but it turned out to be a giant grind fest. But Cobi's Adventure was a very big contender with pokemon on the gameboy. But that's imo too.

yeah I was upset with Joker too, it just didnt have that "pokemon killer" factor that Cobi's Adventure had
There's a fairly good trend of Pokemon being a generation behind DQM, unfortunately DQM has a horrible metagame.
I love exploring, but the fact is that limited items ruin grinding whereas Pokemon only needs a bit of variety (aka not every good leveling zone in grass).
So while I love DQM more, it's a different love. Because I cannot continue DQM to complete the monster list, but I love to catch all the Pokemon game after game.
