I was thinking about adding DQM to my list of games i should get, but it I'm not so sure.Although it looks awesome, it kinda seems like pokemon, and it doesn't seem like there r very many monsters to collect. I was wonderin what otherpeople thought of DQM. Thanx 4 your help.

why does everyone compare games where you catch monsters to pokemon!? this game is SO much better because pokemon is all the same but this isn't and it probably lasts longer to (about 200+ hours to get everything) and the WiFi is better, graphics are better, everything is better!!

The depth of the monster breeding is much better. I also am a pokemon fan but since I got the game Wednesday I have had a hard time putting it down. there are over 200 monsters and that is not anything to shake a stick at. Plus the gameplay is so far great, a better story, and amazing visuals set this game on a different level that any pokemon game.

The gameplay looks fine, but I'm just plain turned off by the fact that all the characters look like they came from Dragonball Z or seomthing.

Pokemon has nothing on the Dragon Quest Monsters series imo, Pokemon has become rehash after rehash while DQM tries to stay fresh, plus the way to obtain monsters is MUCH harder in DQM because it requires knowing the monsters well and what is the best way to capture them.

Uhh dude, Akira Toriyama made Dragon Ball Z and has done all of the Dragon Quest games art design, so what do you expect?

i started platying DQM yesterday, and played it for about 7 hours. it is a great game, that is really deep, yeah at first glance you might think its just a pokemon clone. but its not. its way more of a traditional RPG. you can equip weapons on your monsters, when they gain levels give them skill points to boost there stats or give them new skills. its just a great game, with tons of replay value
