DS connectivity is the Wii's most underused feature

Does anyone else really wish more Wii games would let you synch up with your DS? Take Pokemon Battle Revolution, for example. That game's most redeeming quality was the fact that it was controllable via DS. Hopefully more games will start utilizing the feature. Imagine Mario Kart Wii with a DS control option :).

there needs to be a poker game where if you and your friends each have a DS you can see the community cards on the TV but your cards on the DS

Yeah, im pretty shocked that Nintendo hasnt used this feature after stressing for so long that "Connectivity" between Gamecube and GBA was so important.

i think they are going to use this feature with animal crossing wii but im not sure. I read that somewhere.

It's cool, as long as they keep it strictly optional. If you try to force it, you get the multiplayer for Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube thing, which was fundamentally stupid.
