I dont want to send it in for repairs. I assume they would fix it but since Ive had it for so many years, any warranty I may have had it on would be long gone. Is there a way that I can fix this myself?

Its not very clear because I took them with my phones camera, but in both pics the problem is down the bottom. As you can see in the first pic, I can move the right side of my DS in ways that I shouldnt be able to, in other words, its come loose.

stupid one here...dunno what the difference between repair and fix is but you can buy a new shell for it on dealextreme.com if you are courageous enough to take it apart, keep in mind you'll need a special screw driver that you can buy there...or you could just upgrade to a DSi :)

If you're talking about a hinge problem, then you're DS is going to die, no question about it. Just enjoy it as much as you can until later on. I've had this happen to me thrice, not fun.

The same thing happened to me with my DS Phat. I tryed glueing it back with glue. But all I had was glitter glue. Now it's all orange and sparkley. P:

Anyway, mine still works fine, but the floppy-ness is annoying.

The amount that it would cost to repair it is enough to buy a new one so I would suggest you do that.
