DS Lite hinge cracking

Both on the same DS. Also the bottom picture, there is a crack in the same exact place on the other side. My warranty is over. What should I do? My last DS had this problem and the hinge fell off.

Buy a new DS, and TREAT IT BETTER!

I mean, seriously, second DS? same problem?

Perhaps it's being knocked around in it's case? or maybe it's being opened too far, or shut too hard. Maybe you hold it too tightly. or worse yet, maybe someone else uses it without you knowing? (siblings?

Cracks don't just appear outta nowhere like mold.

I've had my DS for a year, and not a single problem.

One more bit of advice, which may not help at all, but hey.

I can't actually see the pictures you posted for whatever reason, so I don't know if it's a DSL or a regular DS, but if it's DSL you may consider buying an original DS.

They're much tougher.

i think it happens to everybody eventually, if you have a lite anyway.

This happens with a lot of DS Lites, it's in the production and probably not your fault.

However, instead of the hinge falling off, the top screen shorts out every once in a while, and I have to readjust to fix it.

it is production, that many people can't be making a sturdy handheld break that many times with so many differnet people.

I never drop mine it's in a case and it still cracked on the hinge my warrinty was over for a long time i just told nintendo that my ds still had warranty and they gave my a new for freemy new one is not broken yet .1004209

I don't see how that would work, don't they have on file or a way to check and see when your warranty is up and when it isn't? They'd have to.
