Hi all.

I got a DS lite for Xmas and to begin with it made no sound when i opened it at all. I opened it this morning and it makes this horrible clicking sound. I wondered if anyone else is having this problem and if it is worth me returning it.

Cheers

It's worth returning, cause it's still under warranty. If it's doing that then the hinge is probably bad.

It's probably just a piece of plastic that cracked or something, as long as it plays, it doesn't matter. You probably wouldn't be able to return it anyways.

Why? All of them come with a 12 month warranty. Just contact Nintendo and ask them about it, that would be your best choice.

What does the warranty cover? As long as it is still in working condition would they fix it? Yeah, contact Nintendo though and ask them about it for sure.

What are you worried about? Go ahead and call them, or try and return it, it isn't like you are losing anything, but as long as you can play games on it fine you shouldn't have to worry.

perhaps you are in the beginning of a cracked hinge.

My Lite always clicked into place, even when I first got it, so I thought it was normal. They're not supposed to do that?

The warrenty is really annoying, my ds lite had a busted L button after a couple of months since I got it from no fault of my own and they wouldn't fix it.

Mine does that too... I'm pretty sure it's normal that it clicks into place. If it's not... Then Nintendo messed up a LOT of DS's
