Hi, I am considering getting a DS lite but I already have the original so all I'm asking is a simple question and this question is: Is the DS lite worth getting and spending money on (£99.99) or am I suited just fine with my original DS?
Man, I would stick with what you have. They both do the same thing...Try saving up for a PSP or something, no need in 2 DSs... And all the DS Lite is is a new design and smaller, right?
I waited for the lite myself. I think there's no denying that it's a sweet redesign, but I don't think there's anything to make it essential to get one if you've got a fully functional DS phat.
Though if you really want one and need to justify it to yourself, just be really really rough with your current DS, til, Oh Damn, it's broken :D
I think you should keep the fat ds.I kept mine because the ds browser and other accessories are cheaper than the ds lite accessories.If there's nothing wrong with if then keep it.Go buy some ds games with your money.

it's alright to have a nintendo ds thats not ds light and you can still play the same I have a nintendo ds light and I wouldn't say that theres a difference.
i'd say get a DS lite....the screen is so much brighter it makes games look so much more colorful. It's also alot sleeker and smaller, it feels better in your hands.
lolz i also want one so bad, maybe by the end of the year, expecting a price drop to 99.99 USD :P possible ? also im getting some 36o games...but, i wouldnt mind getting a DS lite :P
i HATE this stupid question! everyday! every day! yes, upgrade, always upgrade, don't want to? don't. people that say "aw, stick with the original man, there's no big differences." i don't get it, it drives me mad. the old DS needs to be destroyed, and there should only be DS Lites.
DS lite is outstanding but it would be stupid to waste money if you already got a DS (unless you're rich as hell) but it would be indeed the best to sell your DS and get a DS lite
