Anyone else having trouble with the DS mic? While for certain games the slightest breath against the mic does the job (Warioware Touched, Feel the Magic XY/XX), in more recent games (such as Phantom Hourglass) mic-based challenges require you to yell at the top of your lungs into the mic. Thoughts?

No, my DS mic if fine so far. If you mean that your mic isn't responding very well, then you can send the DS to Nintendo. As for LoZ, you didnt have to yell into the mic like your some idiot furiously yelling at your DS. Blowing into the mic was also eligible. I learned this hard way.:P

Yeh I'd send it back if it's giving you trouble

And as for yelling into the mic, blowing into it works as well and I didn't realize this...

...I'd just got Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and was playing it into the early hours and it told me to shout so this woman could hear me...

...well I knew shouting would wake everyone up so I sorta leaned in close and said hello loudly :) Turns out blowing onto the mic would have worked fine:oops:

Yeah, same here (although I did end up yelling into the mic like a maniac to get the grapple arm). Couldn't Nintendo have made their mic a LITTLE more sensitive?

Changing track here for a second, has anyone had the chance to try out the voice chat for Advance Wars Days of Ruin? I've already tried out mic test mode and found I had to talk above normal volume to get the "optimum" level. Let's just say it would be more than a little awkward to have to yell into the mic just to be able to communicate with the other player.

Personally, I've found that keeping the DS a good distance away improves the sensitivity. But yes, blowing works, too!

i havent been finding many instances where i actually use the mic. The only game i use it on is MK, and i dont play that very often. I have Metroid, but you need the friend codes to actually speak to anyone, and i dont have anyone's code

I haven't had any problems with my DS's mic. I even have had chats during battles in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

You know, you don't have to ever yell into the mic. Even in Phantom Hourglass. Simply blow into it and that does the job. I got the Grapple arm down to 200 rupees or something like that.

Not meaning to be mean, but why is it always the people with like 5 posts who revive old threads? It seems that's usually what is going on.

I believe they are users who just bumped on these topics while they were using google and made an account to make a single question according to the topic but will never post again.
