Are there no games for gamers (I hate the term 'hardcore gamer') or do you just not have them?

Try Advance Wars: Dual Strike (great TBS), Mario Kart DS (loads of replay value through Wi-Fi), Yoshi's Island DS (great platformer), Elite Beat Agents (haven't played it but it got very good reviews), Mario&Luigi: Partners in Time (RPG that's a lot of fun), Metroid Prime: Hunters (FPS with average single-player but superb multiplayer, also online), Kirby: Canvas Curse (creative platformer), Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (great entry in the Tony Hawk series), Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (it's also an adventure like Phoenix Wright), Age of Empire: The Age of Kings (supposedly good strategy), Sonic Rush (good platformer), Lostmagic (good SRPG) and Trauma Center: Under the Knife (great game, although if you played the Wii version then it's basically the same thing). You also said you played Castlevania and Phoenix Wright, you could try the other games in the series (Portrait of Ruin/Dawn of Sorrow and PW: AA JfA).

There. By the time you finish all of these, more great games should be out, such as Worms: Open Warfare 2, Anno 1701, Phoenix Wright: AA TaT, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Sonic Rush Adventure.

PS: And why don't you want to give Pokemon a try? It's not as childish as you could think.

Correction to your quote:

DS= Not worth my money.

It's not your kind of handheld, perhaps the PSp would have been better for you. It's obvious in which direction nintendo is going, and I'll be jumping ship soon aswell. I really didn't like what I saw at the E3 and that's the future of Nintendo and the DS. I was planning on getting a Wii as I was sure they would get some action and serious RPGs in the future. But multiplatform games really are too much for the Wii and Nintendo's first party games are crappy 2D non gamer games. The DS is still great for the holidays but I might switch to the PSP next year. And as for main consoles go, after the E3 I think the 360 si the best choice (Mass Effect > Every thing else).

Why don't you try out one of a thousand GBA games? Fire Emblem, the other FF's and Zelda: MC are all great.

a hardcore gamer will realise that pokemon isnt childish at all. its actually a very well done and balanced RPG.
only a guy who's not 12 but has the mind of a twelve year old would actually think so cos he / she just judges it by how it looks.

if you dont like the ds, dont come complaining to us, cause chances are loads of people on this board like their ds's. If you dont like it, trade it in or sell it along with your games.

And for the record, pokemon isnt 'childish'

Pokemon is no more childish than the games you have already bought - NSMB, Wario and Final Fantasy.

Spoken like a true gamer.

There's more to Pokemon that meats the eye, however 10 year olds only see the tiny tip of the Iceberg (most of them)

I dispise people saying 12 year olds only realize the easy part of pokemon becuase my brother fully understood EVing at 11.

Two words: Puzzle Quest. Also, try Brothers in Arms DS. I just picked that up. Most of us here aren't 12...I am 25
