DS or DS lite?...

I know this has been explained with pros and cons, but there is something major that really bothers me about the DS lite. Breakage. Apparently, it easily gets broken, whether the hinges come off or the R button cracks or breaks, etc.

I'm not sure if I just want the old solid DS or the light breakable one :S

DS LITE, if you're clumbsly and break stuff then you shouldn't get either...

It has nothing to do with clumsiness whatsoever. I heard that the hinges simply snap off sometimes when you open it, or it will come with cracks or messed up buttons.

It's like having wear and tear but on a brand new system. I'm not talking about dropping it on the floor or anything like that. From what I hear, simple usage breaks it.

I dont know where you read that. I have never heard of any problems of this sort concernedwith the DS. FACT: if you take good care of your DS LITE you willl have no problems (unless you're very very unluky and get the 1 dodgy DS in the store).

Yeah, unless you are extremely clumsy ur ds lite wont break unless u get the 1 in 500 or so faulty ones i have had mine for a long time now and its still in perfect condition [my screen have no scratches or fingerprints]

I got two dodgy ones!!

Got the white one when it came out and the hinge cracked. Then I returned it for a black one, dead blue pixel in the middle of the bottom screen. Return it to help pay for a Zune.

Now play on my old DS phat. Might get a lite if they don't announce a new re-design at E3...

DS lite and if u are clumsy then get one of those NErf armor for it.

Obviously DS Lite, despite the dreaded red pixel in the touch screen. Nevertheless, it's worth it.

dude, get the lite, its better in almost every way. Just invest in a case for it

The games played on a DS Lite simply look much better than on a DS Phat. I upgraded mine (and gave my old one to my brother) a month ago and everything looks much better now.

I've had my DS Phat for a long time and it hasn't given me any trouble. I too am a bit nervous about upgrading to the Lite.mac906

Yea i've had my DS phat since launch, never once failed me i like it bigger because my hands feel too big for a DS lite
