So, if Nintendo released a new redesigned DS, would you get it? Why or why not?

I would buy it in a heart beat!!

Link to 3rd gen. DS here

Maybe... Depends on when they're gonna release it (and how it looks and stuff). For now, I have a DS Lite and I like it, so I wouldn't buy it if it came out in a several months. But if they're gonna wait a year or something or my DSL is broken I'd buy it.

It all depends on what features the new one has to offer. A brighter screen is not on my wish list, a better stylus is OK...faster loading times wouldn't be very noticeable...they might as well release a brand new handheld, not a third redesign.

Yeah I still blame Gamespot for reporting on a rumor.

An analyst says it's done. A guy who has no connections at all says it's done. Well that's just terrific.

Also he says that Nintendo will release it once sales slow for the DS in all three regions. Wow way to go out on a limb. Since the DS was sold out this year at many locations in all three regions I guess it's still selling well.

This is the kind of rumor that people should just ignore. Of course Nintendo is going to release a new handheld once the DSLite sales slow, that's just common sense. My dog could have said the same thing if I'd teach him to say something besides "Ri Ruv Roo"

I'm still playing the original DS and I'm fine with that, they don't need to do what they did with the GBA

I didn't get the DS Lite, why would I get this one? Its just the same handheld in a different wraper. Its a marketing technique. It doesn't keep customer bored.

If they do redesign the DS, they should make the bottom touch screen plastic cover pop off (like the micro) so it can be replaced if it gets scratched up real bad.

the ds will also have the ability to hook up to slushie machines and soda machines and the sodas dispense drops of soda to the beat of super mario

As many have said I wouldn't. I still have my "tank" DS. I'm not inclined to waste money on a new one even though a few of my friends are pressuring me to. I would rather buy 3 new games (or maybe 6 used games?).
