Sinceyou already have a DS, then it would be fine to just carry on using it, since they basically do the same thing. But if money isnt a problem then buying another DS Lite is a nice idea too, since it does look nicer and have sharper graphics.
But if u dont have a DS yet, then of course you should buy a Lite first time round instead of the old one, it just cost a bit more.
I tried to stop myself from buying a DS last time cause i know a 2nd edition would definitely come out, but in the end i couldnt wait and bought one, and then the DS Lite was announced a month later, and it is only more expensive by the price of two Macdonald's meal.
What extra money? I payed $130 for the DS when it first came out and $130 when the DSL came out. Or at least that's what i remember. lolTokyo512
Actually $150 when phat came out and now 130 for lite. anyway I would go with lite all the way. its brighter, smaller, and to me to controls actually feel a little tighter. I was playing castlevania PoR on my ds lite then moved to my phatty and it was alot harder to move around, probably because I got so use to the smaller D-pad and the way its made.
No, I don't think it's that much better. It's more comfortable and smaller ya know, but the brightness seems VERY minute to me. I upgraded because our old DS was pretty scratched up and wanted to buy the new Zelda package cuz I was going to get PH anyway and the gold one lookeded so hot, and because was use the DS kind of alot, and I wanted it to last for a few years and I knew the old one wouldn't. But normally, no, I don't think it's worth the money to upgrade.
