DS vs. DS Lite

I´ll go with the DS lite, I think it´s screen it´s brighter and it looks nicer

so far i feel left alone..i'm the only one so far that voted 4 the normal DS. I lkie it better cuz, well, first of all, I love the blue colored one (not the teal, the electric blue), and its built more like a tank, so it wont break that easily. Another reason I like it better is cuz, i like the smaller stylus better, and i like the way the stylus is placed on the back, not the side, and its not as easy to but smudges and smears on it. Oh, and im also used to pressing the button to turn it on, instead of flicking the swich, and it find it more comfortable when the select and start button is on the top, not bottom.

I like the tank DS because it much more durable then the lite

Also the tank DS is louder if anyone has ever noticed that

Sure it doesn't look as great as the lite but I like the tankDS's battle scars(I keep dropping it)

I bought my DS lite about 8 days ago. The first time I saw it, I was very impressed with its sleak, polished look. When I turned it on and saw the two bright screens, I was very happy with my purchase. The design is small yet perfect for my hands (some have complained that their big hands make for uncomfortable handling - so in this case to each his own).

One of the main reasons I never bought the original DS Phat was because its look and dark screens did not appeal to me. It looks more like a toy, whereas the DS lite looks like a sophisticated piece of machinery.

I understand why those who have already bought a ds phat would defend their machines. I'm sure it is just as functional as the lite. However, if you were my friend and were going to buy a new one, I would not allow you to get a phat :)

And while I'm at it, I would like to say this:

My new DS lite is wonderful. Not because it is a lite, but rather because it is an awesome piece of equipment, and a pleasure to use. Playing Zelda, Brain Trainer, Yoshi's Island, etc... I didn't think I would enjoy it so much. I haven't tried a PSP yet, but my interests in that machine have dwindled as a secondary option.

But the original DS has longer battery life, and more durable.

So I voted for both.

The newer DS has a batter that lasts much. much longer than the original. I don't know where you got that idea.

The only thing the DS Lite has on the original DS is that it looks much better.

Here are some facts. The DS Lite has a slighty longer battery, but if you use your DS Lite on the very bright screen setting then the battery will die faster than a normal DS. DS Lite batteries also cost more than the normal DS ones. On Ebay DS Lite batteries are being sold for $50 dollars but the original DS batteries are just $10.

Sorry to say, but the DS Lite aint that much better than the original. Looks can be really decieving and just because the DS Lite looks 10x better dosnt mean that it actually is.

i think its just the people that cant afford the ds lite saying that they like the fatty one better. :P

Actually, no... I have both and I like far better the "fatty" one... especially because of the buttons and the stylus...

I personally prefer the DS Lite. I have both DS's (had a phat since release date), and the Lite is definitely better. The buttons on the original hurt my fingers... XD

Although... I like how GBA games don't pop out of the phat, like it does on the Lite.
