I just read in Game Informer about a web browser that is coming out for the DS on June 4, by Opera. This is going to be so awesome, I can get on the internet on my DS! Web surfing at McDonald's, anyone? But seriously, with this, I hope I could get on gamespot on my DS, switch to my game card, and arrange a friend's game over Wi-Fi! it would make communal gaming so much easier on the handheld.

Also I heard that the US version is going to support flash. Is this true?

Actually, you CAN look at most web sites.  And Nintendo has said that the US release will support Flash which means even wider web site support.  I've heard that the DS Browser is very good.  Perhaps a little slow, but it still loads full web sites.

The browser is going to be as slow as a piece of crap oozing through molasses.  OK?  You might be able to view most websites but whats the point when it'll take a minute or more to load a page?

I should work in sales.

EDIT: On second thought...no.  I wanted the browser to be good so I could say haha to the PSP.  But nooo...what do I get? A piece of ****.

The PSP may have faster page rendering times, but from what I understand that is all lost on text entry.  Using the D-Pad and buttons to enter "www.whatever.com" takes time.  Using the stylus and hand recognition on the DS is very easy.  In fact, I saw one PSP user who was attracted to the DS for the hand recognition.  He commented that it would be a lot easier to enter in text with a stylus.  Also, the way you scroll around a web page is very intuitive with the stylus on the DS even though page rendering times may be slower.

I just know I refuse to listen to anything until I have it myself to actually judge instead of going off hear say.

go on YouTube and try to find the DS Browser review. some guy got the Japanese version and recorded a demonstration. It is kinda slow but I think some people are exaggerating...  I still plan on buying it. Sipping coffee at Borders with my DS at hand would still be very useful.

yes. i have the browser (uk version). u can use MSN instant messanger on it at www.mobile.msn.com. It does not support flash or video. so youtube doesnt work. it has no sound.

HOWEVER!!! It acually depends on the speed of your wireless network! If you use a wireless N1 router, you will get about 15 times faster loading time than the old fashoined wireless 54g network. The actual browser does not have a fixed speed.

I use a ****** G+ Mimo router and it gives me almost the same speed as being on the recieving end of the wireless network. which is very fast!!! i am delighted with it. It take me about 10 seconds to load a gamespot page which is heavy in pictures! i strongly reccommend this product. however, if you only have a 54g router, i would advise reconsidering whether this is worth it.

The Wii web browser has become a lot better now that it's at full release. I have to halfway disagree with you in saying that the DS browser should be almost a full fledged browser, but then looking at something like the PS3/PSP browsers I still have my doubts.
